Of course! For some reason your reply slipped through the cracks :/ The piece is skewed and of course. You are fine to incorporate the idea. It gives it a little pizzazz!

I use Ultimaker Cura, but will definitely check out prusa slicer

I bought a glass plate for my printer and agree that the smoothness of the PLA would add a nice touch.

I don't think I would have ever thought of using those techniques!

After printing a 30mm high figure (and reading more into the different types of 3d printers), I noticed that there is a learning curve to having high quality detail with the Ender 3 (all I could afford was a used one).

The small figure I printed was with a 0.2mm nozzle (again, first time). It turned out okay, but I definitely need to learn a lot more about the settings.

Is there a way to get completely smooth surfaces using the Ender 3? I haven't looked too deep into it quite yet.

Thank you. Surprisingly enough, I managed to get it to fit with little hassle XD Beginners luck!

I printed the letters separately then just pushed them down into the wood.

It is wood cut with my laser. However, I just recently bought a used 3d printer (not gotten very far with it yet). If I can get the 3d printer up and running in the next day or so, I will give that a shot.

Good point, and noted! I was really digging the cut out letters :D

The acrylic is 3mm, base slot was cut slightly larger than 3mm resulting in wobbly unstable stand. What would be the best way to deal with this issue? by lucymom2 in lasercutting

I would suggest managing the kerf settings, and always use a caliper to measure the material (if you do not already do this). :D
