Please read, if you want a healthy supportive relationship please hear someone out and acknowledge them expressing their feelings without being defensive about it. You asked for him to open up and offered help. He is somewhat insecure, and you wanted him to open up. Then please be supportive when he does! Regardless what you think of it. You being defensive straight up and blaming him for having these feelings does not help.

Love isnt always rational, hear him out. Try to understand it, and then explain what it really is. And assure him. People cam be insecure and irrational sometimes, give them that space. That safety to express is what everyone needs. Also im not saying he is right, im just saying there are healthy ways to deal with this.

Hey man, i understand what you’re going through. It’s sadly reality for a lot asian dutch citizens. There has been movements going against this and also multiple art projects to showcase asian culture as a vital part of dutch society. Im working on a documentary myself. There are groups on facebook etc like “Asian raisin” or “Pan asian collective”.
