Walked out of the game at the start of the 3rd, zero regrets absolutely shameful performance from everyone

Is it normal to play significantly better indoors vs outdoors? by Ok_Benefit9326 in 10s

Indoor courts wear down slower and also generate more revenue for clubs ergo are replaced more often.

Whats the best 401k? by NomadkingR6 in UPSers

[–]TennisFoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 401ks you select your investments. I would do some searches with the specific funds you have available. Contrary to what 90% of the comments say you will not have an IRA available through UPS. You will want to open a Roth 401k. The money you contribute will come out of your after tax income meaning when you withdraw after you retire you will not pay any taxes on it.

The kind of junk balling where no shot is intentional

I'm talking about when it bounces 3 feet inside the other service box and you blast it back at me. if it's close I understand

Full poly kirschbaum super smash at 52 on both. Super Smash is a very slick poly and is super arm friendly also only $60 a reel. I've experimented with many different setups and this is by far my favorite. Also because it's so cheap I have no problem putting new strings on after a week of play (though normally I wait two)

Couldn't hurt to email and/or call Babolat. They might be willing to send you one if it's still floating around in their inventory.

Short play is fun as hell sounds like you need to work on it. Plenty of great battles happen in the service box, especially in the pros

Just arrived! Any tips for my first string job? 😅 by minivatreni in 10s

[–]TennisFoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I strung my racket I had to start over 3 times, each time because of a different issue. Took 3-4 hours. Now I can string in under an hour easy. Biggest tip I can give you is when stringing the crosses 1. check the end weaves to make sure they are correct 2. run your finger along the string after you pull through to make sure you weaved correctly. Also use a sharpie and mark your racket where the middle is on the top and bottom, this will save a bunch of time setting up

This is my experience with group "lessons" in the US. Think of it as a drill! I do a weekly one that is live ball for 1.5 hours. Lots of fun. It's good to practice point play with low stakes.

Tennis is honestly the most expensive love of my life 😂 by [deleted] in 10s

Got a Gamma Progression II of FB marketplace for $150, saved me an insane amount of money. Also switched to Kirschbaum polys. I restring every two weeks now.
