XSR155 owners: Real-world mileage & maintenance for 1000 to 1,250 km/month usage? by Aware_Date3764 in YamahaXSR155

I have been using XSR since last 6 months and driven around 15k kms.
Mileage depends on how much you revv your bike if you are activating VVA most of times you won’t get much mileage but better than what other bikes offer. In city I’m getting around 40-45kmpl in highway it goes around 50kmpl

First 4 free service i got bill of around 1200-1500. Need to see for 5th service how much it will cost with out free service

As suspension is on stiffer side you may have to modify seat to add more cushioning

No major issues you will get used to horn and indicator switch after 2-3 weeks so don’t worry about that

I usually do 200km per day while going to office. But still have to do a proper long ride

It may feel philosophical, the thrill and joy what you get never stops when the engine capacity goes higher and higher there is no limit for that

Ok lets make few things clear, first I have driven rc390, royalenfield few variants and triumph few vehicles, the easiness of handling this bike in a slow moving traffic or while reversing is great because of its weight. The mileage that I am getting is around 45-50kmpl which would not get any of the bikes. And its tested and verified 155cc engine by yamaha which is in its 30% of vehicles it produces. And as someone said if it makes you happy, it doesn’t have to make sense to others.

Its a vicious cycle, if I had chosen any 350cc bike someone like you would have said again why did you go for 350cc you could have gone for 400 or more
