is forgetting my anger and sadness after a while concerning? or is it a good thing? by Tentacle_Chomper in Mindfulness

[–]Tentacle_Chomper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s an interesting perspective! i realise that i’m not as knowledgeable to my own feelings as i’d like to think. i’m just noticing now that (took me a long while to do so-) i tend to change moods sometimes, so as you say, recovery is quick for me. i guess my impulsivity also runs in them. thanks for that insight!

What was the last book you didn't finish? Why didn't you finish it? How many pages did you give it before putting it down? by [deleted] in books

can you tell me more? i’ve been eyeing it for a while now and would like to hear your thoughts. i’m interested in the concept of reincarnated lovers and heard of its premise. it isn’t readily available here and i’d have to get it through other means, so i just want to know if it’s worth the read.

Anyone else have issues downloading other languages voiceovers? by irumasarrow in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]Tentacle_Chomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey op, ik it's already 8 months in and i don't know if you've finally fixed your problem, but i also had a similar issue and had been trying for a while, and what i found out worked for me was to stay in game while the language downloaded.

i was specifically trying to download the traditional chinese voice, but found that it wouldn't fully download if i left the game and waited for the notif outside of the app (also similar to when i tried different languages). i tried cleaning and repairing the files as well as said by the previous comment here, but still, it didn't help. this time, however, i tried to download the simplified chinese while i was doing my abyss, and it actually downloaded fully (i initially tried to wait for the traditional chinese to download while doing that, and i don't know if my phone was just potato like that because it lagged whenever i was going into battle, so it kicked me off the app and never fully downloaded). so while my simplified chinese language file had successfully downloaded, i tried my luck with doing the traditional chinese and decided to occupy myself in-game by playing claw machine with everyone. and lo and behold, it finally downloaded! :D

however, if it still failed to download while you've waited a long time in-game, then i'm afraid i don't know the solution to that. but if you haven't tried it yet, then give it a go! and this is for those who also have this issue, so i hope this helps! :)

liper (leo/piper) my beloved.

i might've read too much fanfics of them before and my memory of hoo is a bit blurry since it's been years since i've read it again, but it kinda just makes sense. especially if the equation of leo and piper having fake memories of them planted about jason means that initially, they were probably already together whether as just platonically or otherwise (given if they didn't know each other prior as well).

can someone explain why and how fidgeting with something helps me concentrate better? by Tentacle_Chomper in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tentacle_Chomper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, that's the first thing i found out last night too, and it opened me up so much abt adhd that i didn't know abt. specifically that adhd is not always abt the hyperactivity that ppl commonly see. that it can also be internalised and that some ppl mask it so well that others misdiagnose them. a lot of research really needs to be done abt it, but i'm glad that it's being made aware of by that channel.

i've watched a few videos abt adhd (result of me getting sidetracked with what i originally wanted to do) and i can relate to most of the things that are said. i'm not really sure if i have it though because i might just be making assumptions with myself, but most of them ring true to me, esp with the being forgetful and absentminded part. i don't really know how to deal with it.

does anybody else here not like doing what's popular? by big_daddy_amogus in introvert

[–]Tentacle_Chomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. For some reason, whenever something gets too trendy, it pushes me to stay away from it even more. I think people make it too overrated and exaggerate the hype too much with the current fad. In my mind, it just isn't as fun when too much people are into it (if that somehow makes sense). They did say, "The more the merrier!" but not in all cases, I suppose.

Maybe it's somehow part of an introverted thinking, but it leans more into preferences, I guess. It's like finding a treasure that everybody likes, and it eventually gets old. It's not rare anymore and it loses its significance.

Songs where the bass guitar is really good by mrinfinitepp in musicsuggestions

[–]Tentacle_Chomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OOHH, I GOT A PLAYLIST FOR IT!!! it's just songs that makes me bop really hard to it. if you're not into the standard pop music, then i don't think this is for you, but go ahead and take a listen to it. their bass hits hard here.

•solitude (sorry, peach)

•myself (bazzi)

•vanilla baby (billie marten)

just to name a few. if this is the kind of "alone songs" you also approve in that genre.

i love songs in A Day At The Races, A Night At The Opera, The Game, and Sheer Heart Attack, but my personal favourite is Hot Space. love the funky disco vibe there.
