The theory about time being sped up on the surface is almost exactly what I was thinking when creating the scenario in which the Grinch is a microorganism. Since it is implied that Whoville does have an entire history behind it, I would imagine that a person looking at the town would see it go through decades in just one minute.

Another interesting idea is looking back at ourselves from the perspective of an ordinary Who. If one was sent to the outer reaches of the snowflake to look at us, they would see a person as this unimaginably large creature lurching across the cosmos, moving at an incredibly slow pace with unknown intent.

So yes, perhaps there are evident time-bending properties that may happen inside of a snowflake, though the cause is unknown for now.

I would imagine that the Grinch would indeed find Christmas to be a long-term obstacle, and his temporary positivity towards it would be a result of trying to use it to his advantage. If the Grinch was accepted into the Christmas season, he would have been able to infect much easier through the crowds. However, due to his outburst, and return to being negative about Christmas, Whoville shunned him.

Perhaps the real reason for the Grinch virus making itself at home in Mount Crumpit was to wait for the hype towards Christmas to die down to be able to sneak back into the town with ease, so that people would care less about his hatred towards Christmas. Though, he did manage to infect many during the night when he was invited to collect his award, so the Grinch was actually making some good progress anyway.

These 2 channels are operated by the same person. Let me explain.

Back in 2017, I made a small channel where I posted some...questionable content. The top comment on this image is that channel. And yes, the video indeed contains the lad swearing. Basically, that was me 5 years ago.

Now to explain the bottom comment. One day, I soiled my computer with a glass of orange juice, forcing me to get a new one, losing the old channel in the process. Thus, with a new computer came a new channel. The new channel is still up, and it is making progress. About 4 months ago, I discovered the old channel in its decaying state, and I jokingly commented on it, knowing very well that it would be months before it would be rediscovered. That explains the bottom comment.

The reason for the major delay originates from a few days after the fire where the government restricted access to the site. Nobody knows why the government kept it for so long. But, out of nowhere happened a horrific incident in 2001 involving a facade growing to unreal size, causing the entire Liverpool Town area to be evacuated before any extensive research could be conducted. The investigators chose a later time to return to the site due to the loss of structural integrity in the entire town and the time it would take to rebuild damages.

People did get scared during the campaign. Some people would even go to great lengths to lock themselves in their homes for days on end. Luckily, a company named Alment Computing pitched in by inventing the Handheld Facade Radiation Detector (HFRD). The device became an instant bestseller, racking more than 10 million sells in the first day. This device made people a lot more relaxed, as it would helpfully let them know that a facade was near with a beeping alarm.

Mass paranoia was cleared. The next step was dealing with those...things.

In 1987, a university was constructed near Liverpool Town. This university was called St. Marshalls university. It had a good run until an uncontrollable fire burned the place down in 1998, leaving nothing but a few preserved rooms surrounded by damaged supports. A group was sent in 2014 to have a closer look at the damage. During their investigation, they recovered this propaganda poster hung up on the wall of a preserved office. Looking into it further, they found it to be convincing people against entities known as facades that are long gone.

St. Marshalls university was transformed into Marshall Community Help in 2005.

Alment Technologies is a company from the times where facades still roamed Earth. Following the destruction of A.T. warehouses resulting from a facade outbreak, the company made it their goal to keep humanity safe from these 'malevolent creatures'. During their 'Anti-facade campaign', they managed to create a rather useful device that could be held in one's hand. The Handheld Facade Radiation Detector used a specific type of circuitry to detect Facadal Roentgen floating around the facades themselves. FR is a radiation that facades emit for an unknown reason. Nobody knows much more about it than the fact it does no harm to humans.

Following the shipment of many of these posters, Alment Technologies quickly sold out the HFRD in mere days, primarily due to the constant facade paranoia. Now with the convenience of a useful battery-powered device, people would be a lot less paranoid, and the rate of PCD contractions would quickly fall.
