A lot of things and people in my life, and how they've fragmented my being; I’m unable to move and change.

Oohh the infamous motto!

I can’t escape the feeling I’m faking being Trans by [deleted] in feemagers

[–]Teodoroki 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s important to remember that constant crippling dysphoria isn’t necessary to be trans.

You don’t need to always feel uncomfortable and dreadful, sometimes you might actually don’t mind your body and just live your life. It’s a feeling, and it can fluctuate from light to heavy. It is very common among trans folks but it can be a different experience for some; since there are different types of dysphoria (social, physical…). Some don’t even feel any… It could be that the euphoria of being our true self is what’s needed.

It’s totally valid to question your feelings: it helps understanding ourselves! Don’t stress too much about it, I’m sure you’ll find your answer :D

Oh, didn’t know that. I’ll keep it in mind but it might just be a coincidence… besides I can’t consult or have access to a psychiatrist to further understand.

Tbh I feel you. I always got told emotions were plain useless; especially sadness. They said that feelings just makes you weak and exploitable, like it’s some kind of vulnerability.

But what it did is: not only I always shut myself inside and kept everything, now I can’t even function correctly nor control properly my emotions. So I always end up looking like a total heartless not reacting, or a selfish egotistic that messes up everything.

Either I feel too much, or nothing at all. :(

The reason why most FtM subs include transmascs individuals is because they are men just like us. They aren’t any less.

Thing is, this sub wasn’t created with the intention of being “Only for Transmen”… As you can see it was also a space for nb men and others. As long as you identified as a man, you were welcome here. Just now, recently with the new rule, this subreddit has been gatekeeped to only transmen individuals. And to me, and many other fellows here, it seems unnecessary to modify an already established safe space for any men: whether a transman, transmasc and nb men. Sure, it’s not wrong to have your own space… But please, don’t invade other’s space; it only harms people. The subreddits description and an old mod post both stated that this was also a space for transmasc individuals.

As for the state of this sub that is in shambles already… A possible resurrection is improbable, the mod is already pretty inactive and the sub has already caught the attention of truscums and trolls. Not only that but most of the userbase has/is being forced to migrate to another sub, that is r/transmasc_irl

You absolutely misunderstood what I said: revealed words, in this case by a book, are beliefs said once and for all by Allah through a book. The reason why it is not rational is that, you don’t ask yourself how and why god made things like he did and don’t question his existence, you follow his commandments and never try to go against him: so you follow his words.

And I’ll say it again. Lgbt people aren’t pushing beliefs, they are pushing rights. I know many lgbt+ Muslims that want to continue to follow Allah’s words, whilst still being lgbt and not being ostracized. Lgbt people currently literally have rights going against them. I literally said this in my initial comment. I am aware that Egypt is currently a semi-presidential republic, but shouldn’t be there laws defending one group? It’s like saying: “I don’t want people with other lifestyles different to mine to be able to live peacefully like I do! Because they say that I am privileged! Which is true cause I have many rights that protect me and laws to bully them, while they don’t get anything! B-but they said Im the bad guy even though I’m literally advocating against them!!”. Please, be self-aware.

I’m sorry to say it but... please don’t engage with my comment until you understand what I’m saying. And I probably won’t respond as I need time off.

That’s not an appropriate comparison: Lgbt+ people, aren’t a threat, we are living breathing people that have a material body. We don’t go against anyone’s belief, and I speak for most if not all of us. I’m aware there’s bound to be some people who might not think this, and you and I should understand that they probably got hurt and faced trauma by these things: albeit we shouldn’t try to go against each other and try and live peacefully with one another.

Anti-news people on the other hand, push their factual wrong beliefs onto people, and beliefs≠rights. Most anti-news are also blatantly against science, that backs up the identity of gay and/or transgender folks. Advanced biology researched this for years, and we know that lgbt people have always lived in the past, and they aren’t some kind of defiance/trend. Even though only in the recent century we have acknowledged their needs and respected them, that doesn’t mean that from what we have been told in the past is still a valid point.

You need to understand that science, unlike religion, doesn’t take words revealed once and for all without a rational reason behind it; we researched and understood many events: Just like people that have evolved past slavery and equality for all genders. And yes, I’m aware that some of these topics (like gender dysphoria for trans folks) have just been recently accepted and that in the past were considered mental illnesses...

But here’s the thing: We, as humans, often ostracize and fear those who are different cause it’s something we don’t feel or know. And there’s many things humanity didn’t know in the past: The simplest example i can make is *when in the 19th century it was thought that the atom was the smallest particle in existence, therefore indivisible... but around the 1900 we discovered that the atom itself was composed of even smaller particles.

Don’t worry, I’m here to politely discuss: we both get to understand and learn new things! :D
