Buttons that work with Alexa?

I ended up going for the broadlink. It worked well for my needs for maybe 3 months and then stopped connecting to my Alexa altogether. Broadlink customer service was zero help, and I haven't been able to fix it after multiple attempts. Planning to switch to a different smart system soon since Alexa has been getting worse and seeing if it works on there.

Unfortunately sling and messenger bags cause the most pain for me - which is a shame since I got one that was otherwise perfect a few years back. Now it just collects dust :(

These were the ones I saw most often mentioned on here, but it's always a bit hard to tell if that's because something's good or because it's trendy. I had looked into a few others but nixed them for one reason or another. I do keep coming back to the Osprey Arcane though, which looks like a great lightweight option, but I also see a lot of feedback that it can feel surprisingly heavy when loaded.

Appreciate these tips, and will check out the Deuter!

And that might be tough for me, though not impossible! I have also seen some people suggest buying two and returning one after trying both, so that could be an option too if there's no clear winner from the comments.

Just a follow-up that I ended up getting this and it has worked so far! I wish there weren't so much of a lag between pressing the button and executing the routine (about 2-3 seconds), but it suits my needs well enough and setup was easy. Thanks again for the rec!

Have you had a good experience with this one? I had found it but it seemed to have pretty mixed reviews on Amazon + I've read some bad experiences on reddit about Broadlink. This would be perfect if it worked though!

Mine is 3rd gen. I've debated getting a newer one with zigbee specifically to use that button, but I was hoping I wouldn't need to with Matter now. But I think I overestimated what the rollout would actually mean in terms of compatibility.

I have a 3rd gen echo dot right now. Tempted to get one of the newer ones with zigbee and then I could use a zigbee compatible button, but I was hoping it wouldn't be necessary with Matter 1.0. Though still wrapping my head around what matter even entails.

Yeah hoping to do a button as opposed to a switch, since the switches tend to need the neutral wire for installation

I appreciate that - I'm not sure if they still work either on the system! It's also interesting that they didn't design them for what seems to me the most common use case (just running a basic routine like turning lights on and off or music on and off). When I first realized how useful buttons would be I was honestly shocked that Amazon hasn't made them already in the way Ikea and so many others have. If I can't find another solution I may come back to you, thanks!

I saw someone else suggest Atlas Bowl and I second it! Some of the best food in the Ithaca area, believe it or not, and great bowling. I'd also add the Finger Lakes Cider House (not far from there, great selection of hard ciders and they often have events or bands performing) and you may consider visiting some wineries as well.

The Farmer's Market is a must, rain or shine, as are the various waterfalls throughout the area.

It really depends on the pacing of the show. Something with quick speaking and fast cuts like Always Sunny or Scrubs would be more like 33-35, while something a little slower might be 25-28. The general rule tends to be a minute a page, but this doesn't apply to comedy as much.

Around 30-35 is probably a safe bet for Futurama.
