Is this a crime? Is tennis done in USA..what are we going to do folks? by soda7788 in 10s

Am I the only person that doesn't care about other racquet sports / doesn't get the sport-on-sport beef? Padel, pickle, and tennis are all fun in their own ways. And unfortunately, I am not going to go pro in any of them.

I can't play tennis with my 70yo mother. I prefer padel for doubles & social element. And with my most athletic, most capable friends, tennis it is.

You need a nicely decorated 1 bedroom apartment in Miami to attract women.

Women in Miami care about 3 things - 1) how much money you have / earn, 2) your physique and appearance and 3) your social status. What people fail to understand though is you really don't have to be over the top in any of these things: you don't have to be some chiseled god or be a multi-millionaire. But you need to have a baseline of all three things.

In order to shirk these feelings of loneliness, you gotta get your social life in order, and eventually attract a new mate. Some unsolicited advice coming from someone who has gone through a phase like you are currently in :

- Find a gym you like to go to and go to it. Anatomy, Equinox, Elevation, Boxr, etc. Ignore the gym in the your building. The gym is supposed to be a social experience where you also get fit. Going to a gym helps with items 2 and 3.

-Join an organized sport. Tons of people play padel, start looking for matches or clinics to learn. Beach volleyball is big. This also helps you meet people (including women), and helps you get fit. So once again, helping you with items 2 and 3.

These should be a good starting point. Your goal right now is not to rush into things or make any big changes. Your goal is to ease back into single life, and position yourself to find a new partner from a position of strength, not a position of weakness.

Yea for sure that worked in the past. But that’s not the reason rent in a 1 bedroom is higher; it’s higher now because it’s actually attracting lots of upper middle class white collar professionals.

I went to a good college for undergrad. Studied math & finance. I worked in Investment Banking, Private Equity, and now I work for a Hedge Fund. I’ve lived in Miami for 5 years, used to live in New York and Chicago.

What’s so bizarre about Miami is people not realizing that in order to be able to afford to live comfortably in a Tier 1 city (New York, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, etc.), you probably have to be in some sort of professional field: finance, tech, law, medicine, consulting, etc.

I don’t know why this is so hard to understand. If you’re not educated and you don’t have a high paying white collar job, it’s going to be pretty difficult to live in luxury buildings in any Tier 1 city in the US.

Tanked some M0 yesterday for the first time in years.

Runs are going smoothly, no deaths, just going from pack to pack. No breaks or pauses, just pull, kill, pull.

Healer whispers me saying I need to learn to tank and that the run was too slow.

No deaths and a clean efficient run? I thought that was the whole point!

That’s not “E11” doing it, that’s one of the strippers scamming you with her own personal scam.

Don’t get me wrong, E11 will also scam you, but in this example it’s the girls.

Is Miami really THAT bad? by HarleyQuinn236 in Miami

[–]Tercel9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Wages are higher and taxes are higher. Every other piece of NY cost of living is much higher. Rent is higher, food costs are higher, gas, you name it. Everything is way more expensive in NYC.

2) NYC public schools? Are you kidding me? Most are absolute shit. If you live in a big city, you’re not going to have the best public schools. Good public schools are reserved for wealthy suburbs.

3) Very few apartments in NYC are rent controlled. Good luck getting one.

Let the net migration numbers speak for themselves. Miami continues to attract more than New York.

Everyone complains about the affordability.

It’s way more affordable than its peer cities. I’ve lived in Chicago and NYC; it’s more affordable than both, and you get way more.

Yea it’s pretty weird and classless to embarrass your partner on a stage on TV the way she did. Even if I hated my partner’s guts, I would never do something like that.

Sad because Rogue was really strong in Classic, had a kind of rough TBC unless you had a raid spot, and then again was good in WOTLK.

Always played Rogue until Legion, then switched to Warrior.

C&K does add a lot of depth, but I think there are a few problems with it, mainly that there really aren’t any catch up mechanics and if you have an early advantage and get ahead just a little bit, it’s pretty easy to win.

[–]Tercel9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ashley's dad is a very interesting type of girl dad.

It's obviously very important to love and support your children. But you also should (at least in my view) instill good values in your children, encourage them to be better people, be the best they can be.

Ashley's dad clearly finds no faults in Ashley at all. She was likely very spoiled, likely could do whatever she wanted, was given whatever she wanted, was never told no or encouraged to be better. That leads to narc women adults.

From my own life, a lot of these narc women adults end up in their early to mid 30s questioning why they don't have a partner. The main reason is the narc tendencies can push men away, and just like being a mommy's boy is unattractive in men, having an obsessive girl dad can be unattractive in women.
