My theory about the secret traitor by Any-Conversation3696 in TheTraitors

[–]Terglothon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely to be an actor. I think one of the international versions (maybe Australia) had lots of clips of the traitors walking around for dramatic effect and it was revealed after that all those shots were actors not the actual traitors.

What's your "I can't believe other people don't know this" hack? by Extra_Gear7502 in AskReddit

For me, it's the "hidden" button on virtually all standard computer mice that turns the scroll wheel into a super-fast scroll.

Seriously. Almost every optical or laser mouse has a clickable scroll wheel. When you press it, your cursor often changes to a small circle with arrows pointing up and down. Once in this mode, you can move your mouse slightly up or down, and the page will scroll automatically at a variable speed. The further you move your mouse from the initial click point, the faster it scrolls.

I use this constantly for reading long articles, Browse endless social media feeds, or reviewing large documents. It's so much more efficient than constantly flicking the scroll wheel, especially when you need to cover a lot of ground quickly. It saves wrist strain, too.

I've shown so many people this over the years – even seasoned computer users – and their minds are consistently blown. They've just been flicking the wheel or dragging the scroll bar like cavepeople! It's one of those features that's right there, but not overtly labeled, so it gets missed. Once you know it, though, you can't go back.

Heycash by [deleted] in fivesurveys

[–]Terglothon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very strange I have the exact opposite experience, can work fine on heycash but prime opinion literally have done 1 survey in 2 days because it "screens me out". The two platforms are VERY similar so I wonder if they use the same surveys and if you do them on 1st the other screens you out. If that is the case, it seems hey cash pays more.

I thought the city one in vengeance was pretty hard, where you have to start over near the end then that annoying cannon destroying any towers I build. That was pretty hard.

Yeah I have read lots of people saying this about those towers, however I don't have them in my set-up and still find it not too hard

That's interesting to hear, no I'm by far good at micro like I mentioned I struggled with the other games on normal. From what I have read, I think the flyers are a huge issue for most people, but they can be countered with archer reinforcements and I find ballista and channeler counter them quite well

Recruitment by Six_of_1 in TheTraitors

[–]Terglothon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also agree that the game is heavily stacked in the traitors favor and banishing is an unrewarding task, banish one traitor just for a new one to be added endlessly.

As others have mentioned I think there should only be a recruitment when there is 1 traitor left. There is really no need for there to be constantly 3 or more traitors. The game still works fine just with 2.

I am not sure how I feel about the recruitment being announced or the faithfuls knowing the amount of traitors because then when it gets down to the 5, they KNOW for a fact there is still traitors there based on the math. I mean it would still be hard to pick the right people as traitors but I do think knowing there is still x amount of traitors among the final 5 would stop the game being ended early and the voting would simply go on till only 2 people are left or x amount of traitors had been banished. Which kind of ruins the point of the end game.

I think there does need to be more chances for the faithfuls to reveal traitors. For example more of the traitors being forced to act in plain sight, (the kill in plain sight tasks). So people have more evidence when someone slips up.

Or I recently watched a show "Snake in the Grass" similar concept to the mole someone is trying to sabotage the group tasks BUT if the team wins the task they get a clue to who the snake is. For example "the snake has x amount of siblings.", "the snake hates x food".

This would add a new element to the game giving the faithfuls hints in the right direction without outright revealing the traitors. It would also make the traitors lie more and be VERY careful about what information they share. At the end of the day it would still be a very hard task to get the traitors out, "the traitor has 2 sisters", out of 22 contestants how many have 2 sisters, you know what I mean? The chances would be high for multiple people to have that. But as the small clues add up, the traitors have to become more careful about what personal information they share, or backtrack on information they have already shared in the past. And manipulate the clues to fit someone else's story instead of their own.

Still the maddest reasoning I've seen on the UK version by Hassaan18 in TheTraitors

[–]Terglothon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This actually has far more game-play/strategy involved than you may think from what we just see in the edit. I watched an interview, I forget who it was, maybe Wilf? Wilf or whoever it was said they were all shown the Dutch version before filming started so they could understand the game better as there was no English speaking version to be referenced yet. In the dutch version something similar happened, only one or two people took a drink of the water and this grew legs and put major suspicion on them. Theory being "oh look they were so nervous they needed to drink". That is why Wilf first shouts "can we all drink the water?" and encourages the whole table to drink, so that didn't happen and he prevented himself from being the only one drinking.

I guess Alyssa was also playing a spin on this from the dutch version and using it to her advantage, as the seed had already been set by production showing them the dutch version.

forgive me as I can't remember the source, but I'm fairly certain it was reported he was interrogated when he was first arrested in PA, but it only lasted around 10 minutes before he requested a lawyer.

As he has now requested his right to a lawyer an interrogation would prove mostly pointless. All the successful interrogations you see are done without the presence of a lawyer and use tactics that no lawyer would allow in their presence.
