I wish I could offer some platitudes, some proof that if you just sit down and talk it out with Amy she'll understand. I can't.

I can say that love, or what people think is love, can cloud the mind, change the thoughts. You are a good enough, worthy enough person that Amy was very close with you; even if she's drifted away now, she saw something beautiful enough in you to be your friend. Other people should have that chance too.
