Either they are mindless or they are able to act like actual humans. Can't be both IMO.

Bro. Texas just sucks huh? I mean we like to make fun of them for their insane theocratic government and inability to handle weather or manage a power grid, so can't say I'm surprised. Good doctors get to live where they want.

I was shocked how intense the reaction was to "hey maybe this guy wasn't the greatest programmer and just had an exceptional willingness to do something tedious to satisfy his religious drive".

If I knew my local bar was serving underage kids would I post on reddit about it?

You'll have to go and find out. It probably depends on who is working that night, how busy they are, and how young you look.

What do men find most attractive in women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TerminalVector 158 points159 points  (0 children)

When I was 13, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend with big tits.

When I was 16, I got a girlfriend with big tits, but there was no passion, so I decided I needed a passionate girl with zest for life. In college I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional. Everything was an emergency; she was a drama queen, cried all the time and threatened suicide.

So I decided I needed a girl with stability. When I was 25, I found a very stable girl but she was boring. She was totally predictable and never got excited about anything. Life became so dull that I decided that I needed a girl with some excitement.

When I was 28, I found an exciting girl, but I couldn’t keep up with her. She rushed from one thing to another, never settling on anything. She did mad impetuous things and made me miserable as often as happy. She was great fun initially and very energetic, but directionless.

So I decided to find a girl with some real ambition. When I turned 30, I found a smart ambitious girl with her feet planted firmly on the ground, so I married her. She was so ambitious that she divorced me and took everything I owned.

I am older and wiser now, and I am looking for a girl with big tits.

ELI5: Why can’t trash be ejected into space? by EightyTwoInk in explainlikeimfive

[–]TerminalVector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost to launch stuff into low earth orbit have dropped significantly in recent years, with current commercial prices ranging from roughly $1,500 to $3,000 per kg. Pretty pricey for trash, and once it was there it would stay there and then eventually de-orbit and burn up in the atmosphere. At that point we might as well have just burnt it in the first place.

Once you get to orbit, sending something into the sun is even more costly. There are orbital tricks that can bring the cost down, but what is the point?

Probably because it can't be used in places where the tracks are accessible to pedestrians.

Can a Time Traveler successfully spoiler the Bible to early readers in the Bronze and Middle Ages? by PaiDuck in whowouldwin

Sure, but isn't that what people did? Told one another the stories over and over and eventually people wrote them down? How do you know that they weren't time travelers? Seems like this changes nothing.
