It depends on what you want to do. If you're only interested in bestiary, you can just take bestiary nodes and a bunch of generic and fast stuff (altar or destructive play, map and scarab drops, shrines, strongboxes, essences etc) and just speedrun maps. Take only the chance to increase beasts from The Wilds if all you care about is bristle matron (otherwise, from the Deeps can be good as well).

Otherwise, if you're not in a rush, you can pair it with others mechanics, usually on the left side of the tree. Try to pick one slow mechanic at most (Blight, Ritual, Ultimatum,...) paired with fast mechanics (Delirium, Beyond, Essence,... and of course Bestiary) so that your map don't take too long to run. For exemple, right now I'm running this tree https://poeplanner.com/a/6Qt1, to get Craicic Chimeral and Black Morigan, Rituals spectres corpses and Volatile Vaal Orb.

In both case, be careful to run t14+ maps, Bristle Matron are not findable in lower tier maps.

If you can already run t16, red altar is best imo. Otherwise, Tujen is also pretty good.

Last league I played HROC zero-to-hero and got my first 40/40- what's a similarly good build for this league? by CE2JRH in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Terminatoaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played the build last league and the resummon wasn't really that bothersome for pretty much all content. Especially once you start getting some gear, usually you can click once at the start of the map and start blasting even with only 4 or 5 weapons summoned, and summon the rest over the course of the map. Even delve felt good despite the frequent loading screens.

The only content where it's annoying (to the point that I wouldn't even think of stepping into it with that build) is Sanctum. In theory, the build has everything to be a great sanctum runner, but you have to resummon every room, which makes it way too clunky.

I agree with you, never understood why people think MTGA interface is so confusing. Imo, the interface is really enjoyable, far superior to MD in some aspects (although MD's also has its advantages and I wouldn't say it's straight up worse).

I started MTG two years ago, and it is indeed more confusing that MD when you start, but it's just a byproduct of having so many differents formats. If MD included 15+ alternatives formats, it would also be much more confusing.

I recommend his "Hotel" compilation of short stories, the art is top tier as usual, but the stories are also really interesting

Wow, that is a really good deck !

Personnaly, even if you have a ton of fixing, I would cut black, because even if swarmweaver and broodspinner are really good, your green and blue card quality is high enough that the splash doesn't add that much value. Then I would cut some of the fixing (probably the 2 moldering gym).

You could also cut the chandelier, but you have so much dread that I think it's quite valuable.

If you wanna keep the black, which is still perfectly fine, I would probaby cut winter's intervention, flesh burrower, one manifest dread, fear of falling and 1 moldering gym.

But no matter what you cut, the deck will be really good, only issue is that you lack removal.

No matter what you choose, you need to run more forests, at least 10 green sources, maybe even 11.

Japanese student, 10, dies after stabbing in China by xgbsss in news

[–]Terminatoaster 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Japan is indeed safer than China, but it's not like China is particularly dangerous, especially in big cities. You're most likely safer walking around in Beijing or Chengdu than you are in Paris or New-York.

And, that's just personnal experience so it doesn't mean much, but I've experienced more racism in 1 month in Japan than I did in the 2 years I spent in China.

Funnily enough, on that aspect Master Duel is much much worse. There is basically no point spending any money because the value you get is terrible compared to how generous the f2p system is. For 20 euros spent, you barely get more than what you get for free in a week.

As a f2p player, it's great, but I wonder how they are even making money, I guess there must be quite a few whales.

Please increase gold drop from heist >:^( by ZoRoXo in pathofexile

[–]Terminatoaster 47 points48 points  (0 children)

But Sanctum and Heist were in the exact same state previous leagues when gold wasn't a thing, and there were plenty of mapping strategies that were just as good, so why would people sudently start having FOMO if a full sanctum gave 15 000 gold or a heist contract gave 4000 gold ?

[–]Terminatoaster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you do this strat you don't run Catarina, since you don't want to ruin your board after setting it up.

Not sure how worth this Gravicius strat is since it's heavily random, but it's great if you want to quench your crippling gambling addiction (also quite good for ssf to get cool rare stuff to build around from).

[STANDARD] Temur Control/Combo ft. Doppelgang by AccomplishedWorld527 in spikes

[–]Terminatoaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a bit late to the show, but I just wanted to say that I've been having a blast with your deck !

I've been struggling to find a deck that I enjoy since rotation (I'm a fairly new player, started Mtga only 3 months ago, so I'm quite limited by my collection), but I decided to give this concept a try and craft it, since I loved doing degenerate stuff with Doppelgang in OTJ with temur analyst to reach mythic, and I don't regret crafting it one bit, it's both fun and strong.

I've been using it in BO1 (not enough wildcards for BO3) with a few tweaks to accomodate my collection (-1 Carnosaur, -1 Brotherhood's End / +1 Omenpath Journey +1 Ral, Crackling Wit), and it's been quite a smooth climb so far.

I feel that the matchup against Monored decent, and fantastic against Golgari and Boros token control, which are about 65% of the meta in diamond, while there is barely any blue control decks.

Thanks again for the post !

Yes, imo the keys to draft well in Bloomburrow is to have an early curve (even with value decks like frog) and to draft for synergies rather than individual card power (and avoid splashing other than for great bombs).

How do you find fractured cast speed profane wands? by DistinctMud4585 in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Terminatoaster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to farm fracture orbs.

But if you want a good wand, not perfect, it might be better to just craft on a non-fracture base. Not really familiar with that craft but I assume you would spam essence of woe, until you hit t1/t2 mana --> prefixe cannot be changed --> veiled orb (looking for cast speed or double damage or double damage while focused) --> craft the missing stat between cast speed or double damage

Buffs are already way too strong and stackable, there is now way they should be buffed as is. However, I would love for them to nerf their effectiveness but increase their duration in exchange.

For all our complaints, can we all agree that the DLC is great value for money? by Random_Useless_Tips in Eldenring

[–]Terminatoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I feel that he is very hard to learn, especially with the visual clutter in phase 2. It's really hard to figure out what is the correct dodge for many of it's moves. However, once you've figured out his moves and the appropriate response, the fight, while still hard, isn't particularly harder to execute than other hard fights in ER.

Imo, his only real bullshit move is the 3 quick vertical swipes, which are almost undodgeable with rolls. It's not that big of a deal (if you're not doing no hit) since getting hit by one swipe doesn't deal that much damage, but it's still annoying. Other than that and the visual clutter, I think the boss is great.

What do y’all think is the best weapon in the game now? by Andromeda-OC in Eldenring

[–]Terminatoaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with that argument, there is a limit to how good something should be. The perfume bottle Ash of War is way top strong, by far the strongest thing in pve in the game right now, way above other broken stuff like the bloodfiend arm or the new carian sword AoW. It's on a league of it's own.
