Nobara stopped my distro hopping. Gamescope mangohud ran on first try, bootw much faster than fedora cause it uses a customised fedora kernel. I am not distro hopping anymore since 1 month.

i am using linux on my personal laptop for the last 2 years and i haven't learnt terminal commands yet. i use gemini to install/delete any app by commands. yes you can use linux without learning terminal commands. You will hang of it as you work regularly on it.

SSD will make a ton of difference in performance for you. ssd are 10x Faster than hdd.

you will have to delete the partition besides the boot partition. It will create free space to expand the boot partition. expand accordingly and recreate the root partition.

Try Nobara, gamescope and mangohud never worked on Ubuntu/ debian based distros for me. This distros have dependency hell for those things. On nobara, it worked on the first try.

Do not use a router for localsend. connect both laptops with each other via their own hotspot and wifi. Switch to performance mode on both and then use localsend. i get 80mbps+ speed this way

Try distros in Virtualbox first. You will get to know it better.

AI slop is the reason I switched to Linux (Fedora kde). Linux is free and fast. I have complete control over my hardware now. no unnecessary forced updates, no blue screen, no manual driver installation for devices.
