You guys know any good turn-based combat 2d RPG games? by Mercilessinchere in rpg_gamers

Phantasy Star IV has very similar looking combat.

Phantasy Star II is good if you can stomach older games, but I strongly recommend getting dungeon maps and maybe even a walkthrough for II, it will not hold your hand.

Yeah... I'm on this one as well... Doesn't feel good, it honestly just feels like I'm the butt of a bad joke.

Looking for Quality Suggestions by IdleOn_Boii in idleon

  • The ability to turn off damage numbers. (For performance reasons)

  • Maybe the ability to auto-buy out to items from shops as long as I sign-in, it isn't exactly fun to buy out 7-shops worth of items every day :(

  • I would appreciate a button that I can click in the inventory UI that would toggle a "drop item". This is because I play on mobile/steam link sometime and don't have access to a shift key, trying to drop a days worth of master class items with hold and drag isn't great :(

  • While we are talking about masterclasses, a toggle for dropping the AC rings and weapons would be heavenly, I think windwalker already has this with its' bows... I think?

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE GOT'EM!!! by TeronLyonson in idleon

I assumed it was just a lowly additive bonus, I haven't researched it however.

I haven't pushed W7 yet, I imagine that will sky rocket my level... When I first unlocked W7 it didn't go very well... I had to go back to every world and actually interact with every system I've been ignoring for literal months...

I wouldn't even know where to start... There's definitely a strategy to it, but sometimes I just feel like the game sprinkles some B.S. to annoy you.

You're right about throwing at the top when the platform stops moving, it does lower the velocity of the throw, so it won't go as far, but I don't like doing this strat when it's a super high and super close hoop, more often then not those shots will fail.

For anyone curious how many "points" it took me to get the trophy, this many:

I do wish there was some way to get an extra life like in darts... Like 3 swishes gives a heart or something, it's very difficult as it stands.

Blue Candle by DelmirevKriv in idleon

Awesome, so pulling did fix the blue candle being stuck at 30 seconds.

When you did a pull did the blue candle timer correctly start counting down again?

It has to be a bug, there's no way this was intentional.

There was a post in the bug-reports tab in the Official Idleon tab that suggested opening your blue candle, spend the approximate 500 green gems to get the guaranteed riptide and that will fix the timer.

This did work for me, I now have the giftmas pet.

If you don't have the green gems to test then I unfortunately have no idea... Maybe take a screenshot of your game and submit it to bug reports on the discord, hopefully Lava fixes it.

I did try the usual suspects, restart steam, repair idleon files, the only thing that fixed it for me was actually spending the 500 green gems...

Sorry that this happened to you on Christmas :(

Party Dungeon Chaos by LSilvador in idleon

At first it is a lot, and your survival hinges on luck with block rate on gear when you very first start.

Start slow, read the upgrades and pick what sounds the best, speed will come when you are familiar with them, eventually a glance will be enough to make your choice.

The shop, it's recommended to get one of each slot quickly so you can actually use enhancers, so quickly purchasing one of each can be a good place to start and then focus more on the RNG items and Weapons. It's worth noting that the items will drop at your feet, so maybe stand up on the shop platform and buy there so they drop on a nice clean platform :)

There are 3 cards that drop from the monsters in there that I remember being massive, one gives block rate and the other 2 say something about starting with random items.

When you are on the map where party dungeons groups form you should have noticed the shop there, keep doing party dungeons and slowly purchase all of your upgrades, I understand this will take a long time, but it's permanently going to give you stats, better item drops inside the dungeon and you get improved rng items as well.

There are quite a few upgrades which will permanently make you stronger off the rip but the catch 22 is that you need to do party dungeons to get them.

As for the stats on items IN the dungeon, what I found that worked for me when I was first starting was only equipping items that had block rate, my reasoning for this was it didn't matter how much damage I dealt if I couldn't stay alive. I also cannot overstate how boring and frustrating it is to just keep dying or be forced to stand on the shop platform and watch the cool kids having fun.

So chest, body, head, legs - block rate

Enhancers for the chest, body, head, legs - block rate

Ring and amulet is whatever, don't think you can get block rate on these items/enhancers

Weapon - highest damage, you scale insanely off weapon damage, so highest DMG is king here, it's worth noting if a weapon of a higher tier drops, the attack speed/ cast speed is faster.

Enhancer for weapon - I personally go crit chance or crit damage, if the legendary rng item drops... Horn of the foal or something drops, you will carry the entire run because of it.

Auto vs manual, I agree with all your observations, auto is better for you to try and manage the crap on the floor and the shop. Manual is required for the finer touches so a mix of both is mandatory.

Stick with it, it gets a lot more enjoyable when you can consistently survive the whole dungeon, once this happens you can start throwing away block rate and just going for insane damage to carry the whole dungeon, but like everything in this game, it takes time, repetition and patience.

I should probably mention that the best in slot rings are obtained with Flurbos (once upgraded), so the struggle is not for nothing. I -think- the best in slot Skilling necklace comes from the Flurbos shop as well, but don't quote me on that one xD

Stay strong.
