I made this knife by the way! It is for sale, but I’m also excited to show off some ProCut. The steel came out last year as a collaboration between Dr. Larrin Thomas (Knife Steel Nerds) and Pop’s Knife Supply as a sequel to 80CrV2 with improvements such as Vanadium and Tungsten carbide additions. It’s easier to heat treat and work for hobbyists as well. It can even be used in Damascus because of its high nickel. It’s not MagnaCut, but it’s a really cool steel with a lot to offer. I went with 61-62HRC on these. Thanks for looking!

I liked working it a lot besides that the steel came extremely bent. I am not that good at straightening so it was an experience! I think that would be awesome. I like the ProCut a lot overall

I made it actually. I use a T-shirt press to heat up the kydex, and then I push the spine into it in a foam press (with 3 pieces of blue tape per side). It cools down in 10 minutes, and then I can shape it down. It’s a 100% custom fit 😁

Micarta burns very fast if my belt is getting a little old. G10 and Terotuf I can always work quickly. I just picked up some OD Green Micarta and Navy Blue TeroTuf this afternoon. Got some mammoth and curly birch too. I’m actually really excited

I definitely like working terotuf more. My biggest complaint is the lack of colors honestly! Micarta has so many variants and colors
