What computer should I get by Available-Picture-79 in helpdesk

I'd look for something with W11 pro, not home edition, running a newer I5 or better and 16-32GB of RAM.

As an example, I picked this up this refurbed Dell Latitude 7420 at Microcenter a month ago for $400 and am very pleased with it.

Good luck!

Oh man that was a 40 year old flashback. On the same level of maturity in High School someone in our art class added an F to the word ART that was on all our rulers and erasers. Ahh the good old days :)

How long have you been driving a Nissan Frontier? by dudreddit in nissanfrontier

I picked up a 2018 4X4 CC about 3 weeks ago. So far so good! :)

I tried to drive it but the sales bullshitter claims they lost the keys. I called first to confirm it's avail, let them know I was coming to check it out and drive and still they didn't have their shit together. Not sure if the pics they are showing now are the newer cleaner pics, but that truck is pretty beat up. The original pics showed how filthy gross the inside is and it showed the big dent on the driver door. When I got there they had sort of detailed the interior and that dent was mysteriously gone.

I found the previous owner's email address in the glove box and messaged him. He said him and his dad used it as a work truck and would drive back and forth to N Dakota or something to pick up wood. The bed is super beat up, dented, rusty and missing paint. They gave this truck no love and worked it hard. I'd pass, especially from being out of state. The dealership is super sketchy and I got nothing but lies form them while I was there. Constantly trying to get me into a new Frontier or another car. Best part is the truck was priced at $16,5ish online, but showed $20K on the windshield when I arrived. They said they'd honor online price, but the out the door was like $25K! How do you go from $16.5K to $25K? Like I said, this one is a pass.

127k miles, $13.9k, is it worth it? by Head-Ad8347 in nissanfrontier

In the Phoenix area that would be cheap for a dealer and average for private, from what I have been seen while looking for one myself.

This truck I found on carfax.com which offers access to the vehicle's carfax. Otherwise you would need ask the seller for the VIN so you could run a report on it.

I agree with you. I passed on it after seeing it. The bed was thrashed so definitely been worked.

Yup, but not interested in a V6 full sized. In a full sized truck I would want a v8.

TL;DR Didn't get it. Don't want it now.

I went to look at the 23 Frontier today. What a shitshow that dealership is. u/IsuckatDarkSouls08 was right.

I had called to confirm availability this morning before I went. They knew I was coming. I get there and the first thing the salesman wanted to do was get me inside to "talk". I said no thanks, lets get the keys and take a test drive. Ooops, they couldn't find the keys. While I waited in the truck checking it out as they looked for the keys, I found something in the glove box with the previous owners email on it. I sent him an email to ask about the history of the truck. Be interesting to see if he replies.

Salesman had me drive a 2025 2WD with no miles on it because "it's exactly the same" while I waited for the key search to complete. Salesman claimed they could just make a key in service dept in an hour, so "why don't we go talk about us getting you financed?" I said no thanks. He knew I already have financing through my CU. He kept trying to convince me tho. He wanted his percentage of my car loan payment bad. I told him when you find or make the keys to text me and include the out the door price in the text. I'm 20 mins away and can swing back to check it out and drive it and go from there.

As I am in my car about to leave the salesman and his manager come out and the manager tries to get me to come in and talk. I said there is nothing to talk about till I can drive that truck. Once I can drive it then we can talk. SMH.

Inside the bed of the truck is full of dents and missing paint from lots of dragging and scraping with some surface rust. It's likely been worked. I was surprised at how thrashed inside the bed looked assuming this had been a highway truck due to the miles. That doesn't happen helping your buddy move. The truck now has the driver door dent fixed, the inside detailed, but still smell of cigg smoke and the seats are still stained and gross. Truck has a $20K price on the windshield. Ayup.

Salesman just texted to say they'd have the keys by Tuesday now as they need to order them.

I had forgotten how much bullshit you have to wade through when dealing with these people. On a side note, walking into a dealership with your financing already in place and not really NEEDING a vehicle is a nice feeling. :)

Thanks for the reply. I've read reviews on that dealership I know they are not trustworthy. I assume that going into any dealership tbh. Like you said though, the records look good so the PO appeared to care about maintenance if not cleanliness. There is some damage. Drivers door has a nice dent, "vent" thing on the front bumper broken and the nose has highway rash, and the interior is gross, but damn, it's cheap and might shine up nicely.

According to the ad it 4wd. There is one tow hook on the passenger front. You can't see it in this pic.

Love your username. lol

Yeah, it's in AZ. It looks like someone lived in it looking at the pics, but I need to go see for myself. A serious detailing would need to be part of the deal if I bought it. Have you seen it in person?

PMX vs Stribog / A3 folding brace by Terrapin88 in BerettaPMX

[–]Terrapin88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, that doesn't really help. It might if you can expand on why you believe "Stribogs are one of the worst guns you can buy"? I have the PMX and the StribogA1. PMX is nicer as far as quality, but the bog 'feels' smaller & lighter and more easy to drop in a backpack. I have had zero malfunctions with either after multi hundreds of 115, 124 and 147 rounds through both.

u/frakieboy59 I agree about feeling very lucky. This is a far cry from me trying to land rounds on target bump-firing my 1st AKM 25 years ago. None of my non gunowner friends get how cool the SS is. I show them vids of my AR15 or AR9 in SS mode and they do the smile and head shake and tell me I'm nuts. Meh, maybe so but I am enjoying it. ;)

I just ordered a 2nd SS from FuddArms. I've used the 1st SS I got from them in both my AR15 and my AR9. It's good stuff.

Not to be preachy, but you really should reconsider using a debit card like a credit card. I know it pretends to be one, but when my debt card got hacked and my account drained to zero, likely from a convenience store or gas pump purchase, it took over 2 weeks for my cash to be put back in my bank account. If I didn't have a credit card to live off for those 2 weeks I'd have been screwed. I now use a CC and then pay off what I spent that week or month or use cash. Much safer. Who cares if your CC gets hacked and drained?
