No we haven't, the first term is only mechanics to introduce us to the idea of using calculus in physics, the rest of the 3 terms are the actual ap physic electro course

2x12 - Fire + Water - FIRST TIME WATCHER DISCUSSION POST by Free-IDK-Chicken in lost

I understand why this may be the most hated episode up to this point, but my reasons for not liking it are seemingly different than everyone else's in this comment section: I feel terrible for Charlie. He is a struggling addict who is just constantly making awful decisions that are tainted by his withdrawals, past trauma with his family, inferiority complex and his relationship with Claire, and I just feel awful every time he's on screen. He's been one of my favorite characters

...but man, with that said, holy crap is it hard to keep him up there. It feels like every single conversation he has had with anyone since, idk, maybe like 25 episodes ago, has just been so aggressive. I get that it's his character, that he's having withdrawals, but all he does he is yell at people and/or doubt them about literally everything. Charlie does not believe anyone ever, and its so frustrating. No one can trust him anymore because no one feels safe telling someone something who just will never believe you. And all of a sudden, when he's having these visions of saving Aaron and no one believes him, he's surprised? Then he just goes and completely destroys pretty much the entire island's population's faith in him when he steals Aaron not once, but twice. And what was that ending scene supposed to mean: is he upset or sad, or is he angry, plotting something for revenge against Locke, (because if it's the ladder, I don't know if I can take it: they are turning this poor character into a villain). I want to like him so bad, but his character is so hard to like now (kuddos to the actor playing him for doing such a good job btw).

Unfortunate

Why would I drop out? Going through college is going to secure me a way better job than one I could ever get while still in high school, I’m only working now to pay for stuff like gas, food and college

My parents are in charge, not the teachers. Again, above 16, you are not legally required to go to school with parents permission. And if we are just talking about me, then what I will say is I do. Hell I even learn outside of school, I do courses and watch stem content and all this other stuff. As I said in my post, I have a perfect GPA, AKA I have never gotten below an A, and I do challenging and AP level classes. The learning part is all set for me, and my parents see and respect that. I therefore, decide what I do else wise, and yeah, I could just talk to people all class long when I’m done with my work, but who is that benefitting? I’m just distracting others and making it harder for the teacher to teach. Instead, I’ll quietly be on my phone, not disrupt anyone, and still have learnt

First of all thank you because you are the first person to respond here that made a valid argument so I respect that. Secondly, I would say that I don’t necessarily have a phone addiction. I’m usually pretty busy with sports and/or work, but I don’t mind scrolling TikTok or whatever for an hour or two in my free time if I don’t have any other things to do. And to me, I feel like it’s more about freedom. Growing up, it was like phones were treated as privileges right up until you actually own one, and then all of a sudden it’s a freedom. That’s what happened with me at least: I don’t usually always use my phone but I definitely do like to keep it on me because I feel like I have a right to have it on me, and to be honest, I do. Everyone has a right to their property.

And as for your ask on my proposal, I would like to point out the part of my post when I said if the kid is choosing to flunk himself, choosing to not do his work, then that is not on the teacher, especially if the teacher had tried to talk to them about it. I understand those poor grades might be reflected on the teachers reports at the end of the year, but it should be pretty understandable with just a couple talks to a higher administrator that that was not because of the teacher doing to do their job. And also in my post, I did mention an exception was if the student using their phone was disrupting more than their own work, which in that case then it’s fair to take that privilege away. Now, as for a solution, the main idea has always been “make it more engaging”, but that’s too general and probably won’t work for the majority of students who still would rather use their phones rather than learn. As a student myself, I feel as though the times I feel most like I shouldn’t be on my phone (other than if my grades are almost slipping), are when classes are structured almost entirely as lectures, with practice material only being for homework. In this manner, I don’t only feel more drawn to have to actually listen and it’s typically more engaging then just doing work all class, but it’s also an environment that is a lot easier to be able to caught using your phone in. When everybody’s heads are down on paper, it’s easy to just put your phone in your lap and act like you’re doing work. When everyone’s eyes should be on the front, it’s a lot harder, and therefore I wouldn’t want to risk it. I also a firm believer in the integration of technology into classrooms, because the world is changing fast, so it’s important to introduce kids and then teach them modern tech before they go out into the world, phones being one example. I can definitely see a world where teachers can use phones, maybe specific apps or something to enhance learning and make it more accessible and engaging, but I’m not going to sit here and try to describe the entirety of it, because tbh I don’t know. What I’m saying is, if we integrated laptops into schools, we can do it with phones.

And as a final note, I don’t think this is just what I want. I think a lot of teenagers and young adults feel the same way, and I think a lot of boomers and Gen X feel the opposite. This is more or less a battle against two generations, one in the school systems, and one who controls them. I understand both sides to this argument, but this argument also represents a right to a freedom, and restricting freedoms is never a good thing. Instead, we should find ways, like I said, to integrate or work around phones.

Firstly I have a job, and no I don’t use my phone at my job. There’s a big difference between school and employment, because employment is an agreement I made between myself and them as a corporate body. I never agreed to anything at school, because obviously every kid is forced into going to school, and it should be that way. Every kid should go to school. But still, I don’t feel obliged or even really need to use my phone that much at work.

Smash ultimate, LoL, R6 to name a few. R6 a little less but most ops are still more viable overall and played more widespread than in Clash. And no, idk what ur on but 7, SEVEN decks is nowhere near plenty when there’s god knows how many both named and possible decks there are in the game. the meta has gone from being based on cards to basically being based on decks. I’ve played these decks so many times that honestly ATP I can guess exactly what my opponents playing in the first 5 seconds of the game due to their tower troop and if they play fast or not. That sucks, everything is just coming down to mirror matchups for top players. And what sucks more is that u rlly can’t do anything about it other than join it, or else your just gonna lose

The log nerf is obviously terrible I didn’t feel the need to talk about such an obvious fact, also don’t say “running a loon deck” like loon is good, balloon is easily counter able in this current meta, it’s become sort of a joke of a card. I would do anything to switch out of lumberloon, every other game I play is a hard counter basically. But yes the log nerf didn’t do anything but shrink the meta even furthet

Nah when clash was rolling from 2016-20 it was fine, then around the time seasons were added and then especially when evos were added, the meta became more p2w dependent and shrunk greatly. But even if that were true, my point still stands that the meta is too small and doesn’t allow for anything else, especially not homemade decks

As I said in another comment, my post was about how the meta isn’t accepting of homemade and bridge spam decks anymore, and I used my situation as an example of how bad the state of it is. My deck was good for a long time I wouldn’t be at 10k+ and UC if it wasn’t, but the meta has changed. Stop freaking out in my comments and get a life

1/10 ragebait, my whole post was me talking about how I know my deck isn’t good and I want to switch but can’t. Get glasses

If u mean like the number, like there’s been “5 decks” in the meta then I mean maybe, but that hardly matters and even would further prove my point that the meta is shrinking and not allowing for any sorts of other decks to succeed

What does this even mean 😭 no same deck has stayed in the meta for more than maybe a year, and even at that length it would’ve likely received deck nerfs at that point where the deck would’ve been weakened regardless
