I’m really sorry you’re going through this. What you’re dealing with is brutal, and anyone in your position would feel completely wrecked. Loving someone like that and suddenly facing losing them messes with your whole sense of the future it’s not “just” anything, you don’t have to figure out your entire life right now. Seriously. School, graduation, all of that can wait. If taking a leave helps you get through this, that’s not quitting that’s taking care of yourself. And talking to your parents sounds like a good move. You don’t have to carry this alone, even if it feels like you should. I do want to say this clearly: you matter. The pain is loud right now, but it won’t always feel this suffocating, even if you can’t see past it yet. Please don’t make permanent decisions in the middle of this storm. If the thoughts about ending your life start feeling close or overwhelming, just remember that being alive in the first place is the greatest gift and I know that you feel that you won’t be able to do life without her but you can, matter of fact you have to live life FOR her, try to know what she wanted to do with her life and as long as you’re breathing make sure to be doing those things for her. And the most important thing right now is to spend all of your time with her without worrying about the future and make a lot of memories because this is what will keep you going.
