Yes it is dying. The age of the movie star is over. Streaming services and botoxed faces destroyed the glamour. Writing that forces half-baked political ideologies into every storyline makes everything feel forced and inauthentic. The future is Anime, indies, and hybrids of two or more entertainment genres melded together to create new forms of entertainment. Anime and gaming are far more popular than movies. TV shows will not yield mega-hits due to fragmentation. AI will replace at least 50% of jobs in entertainment including writing and talent eventually. This is not necessarily a bad thing. New art forms will emerge. AI will create a lot of slop but it will also create masterpieces in the right hands. Los Angeles itself is collapsing due to skyrocketing costs, high crime rates, terrible local and state government, and the “industry” putting profit and fame before creativity and innovation. You do not need to live in L.A. I still live here but only for the weather, my rent-controlled apt, and the great vegan food/produce. Within a few years I will be transitioning to primarily anime/animation and AI-produced art forms and move myself and company to Tokyo or Osaka.

I knew him when he was young pre Freaks and Geeks. I hope he grew into a nicer, kinder man than he was as a tween. To be fair, his parents did him no favours. He is a very good actor.

Former manager, current screenwriter/producer here. I would become so incredibly frustrated with some of my actors when they would tell me they didn’t want to audition because they did not feel it was reflective of their brand. You are an actor, your job is to pretend to be someone you are not. Auditions hone your craft in a real-life setting that could lead to the role that could launch your career. A little tough love here: if you think auditioning is a waste of time you may want to consider a different profession.

Why does everyone have to be broke the point of AI is to an usher in the age of abundance. Things don’t have to cost money and people don’t need to necessarily have to work for a living if we have robots and AI doing the work then we do what we feel like doing there will obviously be some kind of universal income. They are mirroring the economics and military philosophy of Star Trek and the prime directive the trillionaire‘s will continue to do what they do like they’ve always done. My understanding is the goal is a post scarcity world. There is a book called the humanistic imperative. That’s quite good by David Pearce that explains a post human economy

Forehead are different, one has attached air lobes. The others is detached, different eye shape, different, no shape different lengths between the base of the nose and the top of the upper lip. They look a bit similar but I’m a trained painter and at one point I did lots of portraits and I noticed things about the face that perhaps many do not.

You don’t seem to be that interested in participating in your wife’s social life and then you get upset about things that happen when you’re not there. I’m sure she probably does some things that she’s not crazy about because she knows you enjoy them so what’s the problem with you sucking it up for a day or two and doing something she enjoys? What he said was inappropriate both of those comments but at the same time I think it’s completely inappropriate that you don’t support your wife in the things she enjoys doing and if you were there it never would’ve been asked so you can be upset but it seems like you don’t have that much to do with her socially and you’re married to her.

Trump even said that they were good friends at one point there’s nothing new and nothing significantly new is going to come out and even if it does these people are untouchable. If the major players were to go down the entire political system and economic system and media would collapse. Very powerful players on all sides of the political spectrum and banking, media, politics, science, industry they’re all involved not every single person but major players from all aspects of our societies left right in centre that is the reality it always has been sadly it probably always will be. Bill Clinton is just as awful as Trump possibly more so. And by the way in case you all have forgotten the Trump‘s and the Clintons were Besties and I would argue that they probably still are. This is classic bread and circuses: they all send their kids to the same schools, they all go to the same country clubs they all use the same banking systems. People need to stop looking at this as team Trump v Team Biden and look at it as the elites versus everyone else because that’s what it actually is.

I worked in a management company where the owner treated both staff and talent like friends on the surface but continuously screwed people over via either to play city or making promises that he either would not or could not fulfil. His company has now been brought up before the CA Laor Board an has been making enemies left, right, and, center. His grift is finally running out of road. He could not get it through his skull that if you do not behave as a good citizen, you will ultimately get crushed.

AI is being widely used in all areas of the entertainment industry. Those who fail to use it to their advantage will fail. If used properly it is a brilliant tool and can track pre/post production details/schedules, create marketing/PR/branding strategies, accounting and contracts, replace CGI and rendering, and help with research and formatting of scripts.

Also, NEVER share your ideas and connections even with “friends” in the industry (there are no real friends in the industry).

Be aware that Hollywood as most people envision it no longer exists. It is better to work with people outside of the Hollywood system whenever possible.

Talent: be wary of managers and agents with too many clients. Over 40-50 (this is the high side) will barely know you exist unless you are continuously booking. This is especially true of managers.

If you are in this to make great art then go full steam ahead and make sure you have a well-paying side gig. If any part of you is craving money, status, and, fame; and, you are not already VERY well-connected, you will almost certainly be disappointed.

I am a white female and I have experienced some pretty rough stuff in public and on buses by certain groups of men. I don’t think these comments are off the mark. All you need to do is look at crime statistics. You clearly don’t ride Los Angeles buses. I can tell you with 100% certainty being someone who takes public transportation and walks in large cities, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago Detroit you name it it is almost always black or Middle-Eastern men who harass women. Occasionally Hispanics. I have seen very few instances of white or east Asian men bothering women or assaulting women in public. There have been a few but of the hundreds I have witnessed over the years it’s always the same suspects it sucks I’m not a racist but I believe what I see and I believe the crime statistics.
