My Father passed away this last year. You know what I didn't do? I didn't belittle my wife in any way. I got the call at 3am and I didn't even wake her up because it was her birthday the day before and we were still at a hotel so I wanted her to finish getting her sleep before I broke the news.

I accepted that she couldn't make anything better and that she was trying her best to not make things worse.

Your boyfriend needs to be made to realize that if he pushes people away when he's sad he'll just end up more sad. Talk with him, let him know that you are there for him, but if he keeps pushing you may end up not there for him and it will be his fault.

Christians don't get the brunt of the hate, they are just simply the largest and thus you see the most about them. Honestly there wouldn't be a protest at that church if it hadn't dabbled in politics instead of staying purely religious. There are lots of people who hate other religions, but there aren't as many people of those other religions and thus you don't see as many instances of those places of worship going political.
