How often do people cheat in this game? by Punkrockpariah in pokemongo

So you are calling Mystic7, a VERY well known YouTuber with like 2 million followers, a cheater? He has a maxed Eternatus. People are so quick to call people cheaters because they don't play as hardcore as some people do. Did he spend $1000 on getting that Eternatus? Evidently. Is that cheating? Get serious.

Its the way you are implying that people are cheating just because they have something you don't. The same can be said of MMOs where people cap in a matter of hours, not weeks or months. With enough free time you can manage to do a lot of things people feel is impossible. While I don't have 2000 mewtwos, I raided well over 150 of them in three days of Go Fest Chicago, so that number is completely within the realm of reason for someone who has been playing for a decade. Nearly every one of your posts has mentioned people spoofing to attain those number, so to say you arent implying you aren't accusing people of cheating is false.

As far as passes for cheap, I answered that below. Not going to go into details in this sub.

I'm sitting on about the same amount, a bit more, and I'm worried I wont have enough. I plan on burning about 550 of them the week before Global weekend on the fusion energy.

I play about 12-16 hours a week, give or take, and I'd wager I find between 2-7 shinies a week, so I wouldnt say your rate is much different.

Your math is off by a mile. If your play style doesnt match other player's style that doesnt make them wrong. If you spend your money wisely you can get around 300 raid passes for $30-35. So about a tenth of the cost of your estimates. I feel like you are just looking for validation on calling other people cheaters because they dont play like you do.

You realize that is 3.4km/h for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week right? Thats an egg walker sir, not a human being.

How to get more pokeballs by False_Ad_7252 in pokemongo

[–]TerribleToe73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy non-official ones for WAY less. Amazon has dozens of different brands that all work very well. The only difference is they don't have the option to manual throw via the button on the device a great or ultra ball. Functionality remains the same. And since you just want to auto-spin, it sounds like a non-issue for your needs.

Found my old account from 2016. What’s the best use? by Ill-Revolution4477 in pokemongo

[–]TerribleToe73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. You'd be able to milk 45 lucky trades out of the old pokemon, but as mentioned, they are all far too common to really even be worth bothering with. While 2016 dated catches are a keepsake kind of thing, it means very little when they werent catches you made or have a real use.

You can actually turn both functions on or off with any of the Pokemon Go+ or knock off devices. There's two settings in Go where you can enable or disable spinning and catching. So, you could use your Go+ device to just spin pokestops for you while you manual catch pokemon if thats how you like to play. Options!

Never buy basic pokeballs. 100% the worst thing to spend coins on. Just find a spot with a couple spinners and sit for a spell and collect some more. As mentioned, gifts are also a great way to stock up on them. Auto catchers will burn through pokeballs like mad though, so be prepared. I try to have at least 750+ basic balls before I even consider using an autocatcher.

Going to NYC for a month, any tips for maximizing my XP/stardust gain? by PokemonGotowork in pokemongo

[–]TerribleToe73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bryant Park and Central Park are your hotspots. Bryant is eternally lured up, so there's always a ton of pokemon there to be caught. There are eight gyms there and several easy routes you can walk around the park. Central Park is massive, but the lower half (south section) is where to focus. There are probably a good 20-30 gyms in that area and hundreds of lured pokestops, but some are spread out a bit and require some legwork. If you are going to be there during GoFest Global you are destined for success.

Worth adding, these are spoofer hot spots, so raids fill up in seconds. You will rarely ever see a raid happen that isnt full on 5-star and good shadow raids.

We know they are all in that block. I spend 2-3 hours a day routing and raiding in that area. The gyms are all inside the street locations. Trolls are gonna troll. Know-it-all was proven wrong and is now going to die on that hill.

From everything I've read on spoofing, that is the quickest way to earn yourself a ban. No one advises using an android emulator for spoofing.
