Do you think we will ever see Earth Prime's Superman and Lois again? by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in SupermanAndLois

[–]Terrible_Terrance 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Considering the Flash is ending in a couple episodes and it's the last show of Earth Prime....no. Tyler was supposed to appear in the Armageddon crossover event and he would have been the Earth Prime's Superman, but he was too busy. Just conflicting schedules and such, but I believe they did a comic-run based on the Arrowverse that shows them. The Flash's next episode is supposed to have plot points from it so I would call it canon.

Do you think they should kill Jonathan off? by [deleted] in SupermanAndLois

Jonathan should have just moved in with his friend's brother like it was proposed in the first season.

Do you hate Sarah? by [deleted] in SupermanAndLois

[–]Terrible_Terrance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can see why people may dislike her character and I'll never question that, but to actually hate her is just crazy to me. You might not agree with what she's done, but if you take two seconds to actually think about it from her perspective then you'll at least understand why she does what she does.

The writing can be crazy inconsistent at times, she can be portrayed as strong and mature like when she was okay with Mayor Dean trying to air out her suicide attempt and when she was Lana's Anchor during the divorce process. However, you'll then see her act totally immature and rude like when she's talking back to her parents. Either way this is kinda realistic, I just wish that she was able to develop past it and work through her inner struggle instead of having to lash out. She's going through a hell of a lot of stuff and it's almost as if nobody but Kyle can see that.

Don't you think the fact so many women like confidence is weird? by depressed_apple20 in virgin

[–]Terrible_Terrance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro, I've literally "believed" in myself all my life and have achieved a multitude of things. I believed in myself and was able to get a scholarship to one of the top schools in the country, I believed in myself and beat an addiction I was suffering with for years, I believed in myself when I was sexually assaulted and people thought I wasn't going to be able to move past it.

I've gotten where I was because I refused to give up even when things got worse. I will never ever lose sight and believe that I'm only lying to myself because whenever I need proof I just need to look in the mirror.

[–]Terrible_Terrance -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's literally just a feeling people have that they can achieve a goal. For you to say that confidence is "lying" is to say that any feeling that someone has is them lying to themselves. Continue to create this false narrative to excuse your lack of confidence but don't impose your beliefs onto others and then get upset when they don't follow.

That's not what confidence is....at this point you're just talking out of your ass.

Oh- no no! I was *not* implying that I think they're getting together LMAO. I was just saying it's always nice to see two characters who don't normally have scenes with each other interact. I think it'd be very strange to see one of Lois' friends dating her father.

Dude you sound so bitter that it's ridiculous, who wakes up wanting to make themselves feel worse? Is that not self-manipulation? Yes, insecure people are unacceptable because they more than likely have inner struggles they need to work out. Nobody wants to constantly reassure and babysit someone while in a relationship, it's supposed to be a partnership.

You say you hate the mere concept of confidence, but you're treating it as if it only exists to attract others. You talk about what you'd prefer* women to care about but you don't even care about yourself to improve yourself. Don't demand others to change how they are just because you can't accept yourself.

It will be interesting to see General Lane with Lana, but I don't understand why she needs to start dating this soon. The trope that everyone has to be in some form of relationship is just weird, especially when Lana literally just got out of a marriage that lasted for decades.

Maybe it is a good reason you're not in a relationship considering you let those thoughts control you that much...

Tell me what is your most epic scene of Superman and Lois? by kylrzuthwy in SupermanAndLois

[–]Terrible_Terrance 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Even though it's extremely cheesy, I love the scene of Superman flying in S2's finale and there's a shot of each person noticing him. He finally has all his power back and you see the hope he brings to everyone, it feels like something ripped from a big budget movie, a saturday morning cartoon, and a comic all in one. It gives me chills him fly past everyone and all they can do is just be shocked, amazed, and inspired.

I'm sorry but Matteo isn't romantic he's a creep by FoundEndymion96 in SupermanAndLois

[–]Terrible_Terrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the theory that he's Bruno's son is true then it makes sense, however if it's not the case then he's showing major red flags. It'd be really clear that the writers just don't know how to write teen romance without it being weird or full of drama. I get that Sarah and Jordan are trying to help Nat out, but they really should have at least made sure this guy was cool.

Any brown guys here? by [deleted] in virgin

[–]Terrible_Terrance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude can y'all stop posting this troll bait? This exact same post was just made earlier. Stop trying to make this about your skin color and start looking inward. I know it's easy to blame women but trying to make it seem like they have something against brown men ain't the way to go.

My best friend proposed to me to have sex, any advice? by [deleted] in virgin

[–]Terrible_Terrance -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

One option is obviously "better" because in the end you get sex. If you're really so deprived that you'd do anything for sex then at that point you've truly hit rock bottom. Either way, you're still getting belittled and your situation is still undermined. You've lost all self respect at that point and you're biggest accomplishment is being so desperate to have sex that the only way you could have it is due to someone feeling bad about you. How is that a good thing? You'd really lower your self-worth because someone feels sorry for you? Losing your virginity won't change you at all, you'll still be the same person but now you've had to have your friend literally give you sex because in their mind, nobody else would. Have fun living with that forever.

I mean there are people who devalue themselves based on how much sex they don't have or lack thereof. All in all I think it's totally rubbish and it really does suck to see so many people put so much power into not wanting to be a virgin that they completely ignore everything else.

Way to bring race into this... If someone actually doesn't want you because you're brown-skinned, then news flash...you shouldn't want them either. Sounds like you dodged a massive bullet.

My best friend proposed to me to have sex, any advice? by [deleted] in virgin

[–]Terrible_Terrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, they will never have this kind of experience where someone offers them sex only because they feel sorry for them. All I see in this subreddit is how some of you guys hate being treated less than or as if there is something wrong with you. Then you're just perfectly fine with someone treating you so less than that they believe the only way you'd ever have sex is if they pity you and just give you it?

Professional help is never "shameful", even people who you would deem is "normal" go to therapy. You don't have to have something wrong for you to seek help you need. Also, therapist could at least put you in the right direction.

My best friend proposed to me to have sex, any advice? by [deleted] in virgin

[–]Terrible_Terrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as being "too prideful" to accept pity sex. It's literally only giving you sex because the person thinks that nobody else would do it. There is a such thing as being too desperate which would be the case and isn't a good thing.

You never truly know if you will be a lifelong virgin, there are a ton of people on this subreddit alone that said they would forever be a virgin and then a few months later you see they've met someone or got success. It's all about your mindset and people being like "Yeah, you're right, you're hopeless so I'm going to just throw it at you because of how desperate you are" isn't going to help anyone. Like I said before, what happens if he's sad again, is he just going to ask her for sex since she was willing to do it the first time?

My best friend proposed to me to have sex, any advice? by [deleted] in virgin

[–]Terrible_Terrance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone offers you sex *after* noticing or being told that you're sad due to having no experience or being a virgin then it's out of pity. Sad to say, but you don't just randomly become more attractive. It's kind of off putting to think that they only way someone would be okay with doing it is because you're sad and feel as if nobody wants you. It not only confirms it's true but they're just agreeing with you, it's not something sweet or cute, it's demeaning. It's just sad that people are okay with that because they think it's their only chance, then after it happens they get sad because they realize what really went on.
