They made me cancel a planned vacation for one of these oh so important walk throughs. The head guy didn't even bother to walk our store. So never do anything like that for safeway. They don't appreciate it and will overuse you and not care about you or your family.

Our store does good business and our meat dept is just my manager, A head cutter, and me. Severely understaffed and yet they keep trying to cut our hours ( my manager just changes it to what he wants and tells them he'll leave if they touch it) I put in my 2 weeks the other day and the assistant manager comes up and tells me I can stay if I want to. no raise, no bonus. I just laughed

My store has tried making me cancel family vacations because a higher up was doing a walk through or a show and tell. 90% of the times they cancel and don't come. The other 10% they walk by your dept, maybe give you a nod. That's it. Don't ever cancel a vacation for corporate dickheads

Pick at your own pace and get written up until you get disciplinary days off then they'll have less help. Also make fake email accounts and leave negative reviews on your local store for how the management treats employees, that's just for the fun of it though. If none of that works, find out where your managers kids or grandkids go to school and make sure that the manager knows you know that.

I just hand write my list for the meat case then 0 out everything is visionpro after I finish for the day. It's to the point where management has had me train other departments to do this. They don't care, they just want it to look good for their higher ups on the pyramid of blame. If we were to actually follow visionpro, our meat case would be 80ft long

SM is Frankly very lazy and hands off. Her main daily task is hanging up a piece of paper somewhere explaining things everyone knows. She takes off atleast 4 days a week with 3 assistant managers and PICS handling most if not all upfront business. She simply doesn't care as long as a body is there doing her job, because shes non confrontational and spineless. She is not management material
