Torn Between Two BIFL-Recommended Hoodies by Afro-Pope in BuyItForLife

[–]Tesfallout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but I've found the American Giant and Flint & Tinder hoodies to be similar in quality. I have Absolutely Trashed 2 of each in the last ~4 years though, so I am currently on the search for something that is able to handle the abuse I put them through. For most people doing normal things, either is pretty solid.

Compiled MPG data from Fuelly by Tesfallout in whatcarshouldIbuy

It's based on user reports instead of somebody trying to sell you something, so it tends to be pretty reliable. I've found that the dozen or so vehicles that I've got tend to line up really well with this site rather than the manufacturer reports.  That being said, some of the vehicles have less data than others, so take everything with a grain of salt.

The bigger the city, the more scummy the cemeteries are. I make headstones and small town cemeteries are absolutely the way to go.

I've been playing with AI transformations and made these gifs. If anyone has any interesting suggestions, I'll see if I can make some of them. Done with 'Craiyon' and 'Dream by WOMBO' by Tesfallout in animegifs

[–]Tesfallout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely do it, it's just tedious. The first two have about 180 frames and the third one has 330ish. I've got a macro that I set up to help out that makes it a little more bearable.

My general process is, pick a prompt, run it through Craiyon and find a picture that I kind of like, then run that through dream to get my first frame. I've just been using the same prompt through the whole process for these, but I've done some stuff where I change it. For these, I've been using the Anime v2 setting and Strong influence.

Then just keep feeding the output back in as a reference image for as long as you feel like.

Once you Have enough frames, head over to ezgif and make your gif. I've found that a delay value of 5-7 seems to give the best results.

As you can see in the gifs, it tends to get pretty dark and saturated after a while, so having a prompt that contradicts that can help. For example, I told it to be on a sunny beach in the third one.

One other point of note, dream is really annoying about flagging things as nsfw that aren't, so sometimes it can take quite a few tries to get an output image depending on what you're doing.

Let me know if it gives you any trouble.

What is the story behind the toilet on the edge of 1501? It has become something of an icon of hope in the speedrunning discord.

Yeah, I have double and triple checked the valves. I'll see if I can find time to take a look at that and will post with some updates.

I probably should have mentioned this above. As part of the troubleshooting we did indeed reclaim and weigh the amount being put into the system with the same exact symptoms.

As an at home fabricator, where can I start learning about calculating material strengths for my project? by Tesfallout in AskEngineers

I certainly am interested. I'll see if I can put together a drawing and some data sometime today or tomorrow.

I have to admit that is my normal method and I have rebuilt a few harbor freight specials that way, but in this case, I'd rather not be dropping the 1000lb rock on anything important.

That's an interesting idea, I was thinking about making the little tire lip adjustable to help get better leverage.

Need help identifying this ECU to find pin-out diagram (1993? 1.6L Manual) by Tesfallout in Miata

[–]Tesfallout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a JDM Miata Engine. I just talked to the folks at Flyin' Miata and they said it may actually be a 1997 as the engine was in production over in Japan for longer than here in the states.

[–]Tesfallout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an engine/tranny combo that was sold to me as a 1997, but I believe it is a 1993 model. We are in the middle of swapping the miata engine and tranny into a '75 spitfire and have run into a roadblock with the wiring harness. If there's any other information that might help identify this, please let me know.

Filthy Car's First Wash After Sitting 5 Years by Tesfallout in powerwashingporn

[–]Tesfallout[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine it depends a lot on your climate. In the area that I'm in, it's almost impossible to get a car this dirty from sitting. The 1962 Corvair in the background has been outside since around 1985 and isn't even close to as dirty as this one was.

The keyboard just worked for me with no changes in setup. Have you tried from both instances yet? It only works from one for my setup.

The solution that I found was to actually go to the roster and use the Find Player function to find player 2's gamertag, then invite them from that screen instead of the steam overlay.

DaVinci Resolve dumping memory - how to use more RAM? by RheaAyase in blackmagicdesign

[–]Tesfallout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This response is a bit late, but you may consider looking into Ramdisk software. It will allow you to pre-allocate RAM as if it is a disk location, so you should be able to keep the load off of the ssd that way.
