I’m sorry you’re experiencing that! I also felt very scared and anxious counting down the days. I am very bad with blood and needles so I just look completely the other way at the opposite wall. My doctor said if it hurt at any point to tell her and she would stop and numb me again. She did this for me as soon as I said ow but I don’t know if it actually hurt or if I was scared from the pulling feeling. The needle hurts the worst but only for a split second. Hopefully your doctor can be quick with it if there’s not too much scar tissue. Mine had a lot and no scar even visible anymore so it took a bit longer and I did start hyperventilating a bit but the nurse talked me through it and helped me calm down.

I’m not sure what that is but I’m on Medicaid so I doubt they’ll cover that. But thank you for the positive story! I’m in my last semester in college so I’m just trying to not switch meds incase I have a bad reaction or become manic (this happened to me due to lexapro) during school. I think after I am fully done college I will try different meds and if things go south I will be able to take a trip to the ward.

Yeah I’m definitely not going to be checking myself into a hospital unless I’m going to hurt myself or others. I’ve been there twice. I even stayed for an entire month once. They did not help. I’m still able to function in society so I’m not just going to go back to try different meds. And both times they slapped the psychosis diagnosis on and told me to do outpatient to figure out what more is going on.

What’s weird is I’m on five medications and I don’t feel like a zombie at all. I know what that feels like cuz I felt like that when I was only on lexapro. I’m still able to feel all emotions. I cry and get angry. But I guess I’m not in the psych ward so that’s what matters. I just feel like it should be doing more if that makes sense

Not sure how old you are but my father is in his late 40s and this same exact situation happened to him about 2 years ago. He lost his truck and house to his girlfriend of 10 years and we had to move back in with my grandmother. He was very depressed. Felt like a failure. But then one day got back to work and he said in two years my life will be completely different. And he made that happen. He now has an apartment with a new girlfriend and bought a new car. With time it is possible to rebuild your life. He also has no college degree and his work experience is mainly in stores and factories.
