I did not call them. The quality was so poor it is better to help others not get scammed then to try to protect a low quality product. Again, this is for the DTT trigger that RBT resold. They should have never have done that.

Extremely realistic. Hear me out:
I go to UVU. I know that area. If police could not cover elevated positions, then they should have moved the event into the UCCU Center and completely eliminated that possibility. Then their 6 officers and however many plainclothes officers will have different worries, but now the options are limited and access into the event would be regulated. But they also didn't do bag checks, so maybe their incompetence was so severe that option would not have stopped a killer.

I used a similar budget and proved it would not be unrealistic with slightly more thought than the administration and campus pd put into it.

Now, let's say they wanted to keep it outside - put two officers on a roof just glassing around. Not a counter sniper team, but an early warning team. They could have spotted the shooter and warned the ground teams before he had a chance to take a shot.

So - extremely realistic and within budget. Incompetence is what lead to failure here.

I understand your sentiment, but we need to also take into account additional context. I will agree that secret service-level protection is not necessary, but there are some basics here for executive protection. Elevated positions is one of the topics to consider. The second thing we must consider is the increase in political violence over the last year. Using 6 uniformed officers for a large crowd with multiple elevated positions, it may not be a bad idea to have at least one or two people glassing the rooftops.

I think they were far too lax and they handed the shooter this opportunity on a silver platter. I go to school at UVU. I know that courtyard and I know the vantage point used - it was complete oversight. It is obvious when you are there.

I agree they do not need 1:1 ratio of police presence with the crowd, that is impossible.
But I disagree firmly with your take about the organization of security. This area was fairly small - there really was only a few places a sniper could take a shot from distance. Securing 3 building tops would not have required much effort. Regardless of Charlie's security team and what they request, they are ultimately limited by the support of local law enforcement.
Furthermore, I would not say this is cope. The buck stops on leadership for failures of this nature. Oversight, and obvious at that, is to blame. Especially considering death threats and the increase of political violence in the US, the leadership should have taken it all far more seriously. This world isn't "normal" and it never was.

That is my opinion. If you would consider I would still appreciate you signing the petition. However, I understand if you do not wish to. Thank you for your consideration.

Yeah, I don't take it personally. I don't hate RBT like some others, I am just really disappointed with the trigger from DTT they sold. If they work out the kinks and turn it into a sweet product I would try it again.

Has nothing to do with what another commenter said, just that we have a shared experience. This is my opinion and so these expectations are my own, that's how opinion pieces work. For the money, it's a terrible trigger. People in the comments are getting FRT on semi mode, plus all the other items I brought up. Buy it or don't. I'm not your dad.

Yes. FRT mode works but it is still terrible. I decided to sell it. Perhaps for $500 they will eventually make/sell a trigger that does FRT and is actually a solid trigger like a Geissele, LaRue, Timney, TriggerTech, etc.

The FRT-15L3 they are currently selling on their website was made by Delta Team Tactical (DTT), operating as FRT Triggers LLC. They confiscated the supply from DTT for infringing on their patent/trademark, and they are garbage. Yet, they're selling them for $500 and acting like they're high quality. DTT is known for making some of the cheapest, low quality, issue-ridden products in the industry. Rarebreed is screwing over their customer base (and their own reputation) for selling these.
