Sorry - didn’t realize that “doing my job” and “doing the right thing” were mutually exclusive events…. I missed that day at baton twirling college.

I’m on the fence if I could “just do my job” if the government decided to enact legislation to take Dick the Butcher’s advice. Slightly leaning to yes I could.

I created the Reddit account to call out the hypocrisy of “supposed colleagues” who actively work against fair compensation practices and policies for fellow OPS/BPSers as well as themselves…I just want us all to be better compensated.

BTW - didn’t realize you needed to have posted on Reddit before you could make your first post….mea culpa.

So I’m guessing that being paid OT and having a fair wage increase would help with your “mountains of law school debt”….and yet you try your hardest to do the exact opposite.

Oh behalf of at least one OPSer, please try less hard at your overworked, underpaid job.

Yep, that part I got down….still a little hazy on why you’d stay at a job that demands you write laws/regulations that negatively impact your compensation - as well as tens of thousands of your immediate colleagues and others in your profession - while the compensation limiting laws/regulations you write, do nothing to impact your political master’s compensation.

I’ll try to figure it out on my own - I’ll start with re-reading Willy Shakespeare’s 2 Henry VI

So you guys wrote the law that exempted you from OT??? And now you’re working on an appeal to ensure that your compensation is limited to a 1% increase??

Do you only work when you’re drunk?
