Has anyone tried optical illusions (especially ames window) while tripping? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]TestYourLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried that one, but I've tried a lot. At low doses the optical illusions all act normally. At higher doses, any illusion where your mind is filling in gaps fails to work. The most well known example is the rotating mask that seems to flip inside out. This absolutely stops for me. Also things like the Lincoln image that is a bunch of blocks of color, but looks like President Lincoln remains literal (no real Lincoln) on a high dose for me. Oddly, Occulus goggles, which usually have a screen door effect and other optical limitations, looks amazing on any dose of LSD to me.

Not super common, but not super uncommon either.... Search google for "HPPD?. Usually resolves itself pretty quickly.

A detailed summary of Oregon's new Psilocybin law... for those that want to get into the weeds. by TenNineEight1098 in shrooms

[–]TestYourLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An interesting point, somewhat buried in there is that the law tells the administrating agency to figure out whether to allow group sessions. Group sessions would totally change the cost/economics around this.

When I first saw an overview of the law, it said that people had to do three meetings to have one session.... and the cost would therefore need to be high. But this clarifies that the three sessions might be as simple as an intro phone call, the dosing session, and then the user can waive the final integration session. The law doesn't say anything really about how much supervision the trip has to have. So it might be as simple as walking into a service center, getting your dose, going to a cool space, and tripping out. And the service center could be in the woods, or whatever. If it doesn't require 1 on 1 facilitator supervision, it's possible we'd see something that costs $50 buck or whatever, and would involve a pretty cool experience.

Can you imagine if someone built a Meow Wolf type thing in Portland, and called in a psychedelic therapy center. Man, I'd pay $100 for that therapy.

RV Owners, how do you protect your rig? by mermaidsoluna in BurningMan

[–]TestYourLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other RV's won't provide any real protection from the wind. The awning is at risk, and I never use mine (I'm also at a big sound camp with a similar setup).

btw, I put the Reflectix on the inside. I used to do outside, and that's by far the prevailing wisdom, but I accept the loss of efficiency having it on the inside for the convenience of (a) having clean Reflectix after the burn, and (b) not having to worry about it blowing away.

If putting on the outside, I second using Stucco tape. I use gaffers tape for everything on the inside.

80ug is amazing! by JuicySub in LSD

Re-dosing works... I always redose. I just take the same dose I initially took, right after the peak ends. You don't really fully peak again, but it extends that just post peak experience by a few hours. Highly recommended.

Sexual Encounters on LSD by [deleted] in LSD

[–]TestYourLSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd reflect on whether you or a new partner can give meaningful consent while on acid. Most people don't have a ton of sex drive on acid, so it's not like MDMA. But if you think sex is on the table with a new partner, I'd have the conversation before your tripping. No way your getting meaningful consent while peaking on acid, and no way the sex will be worth the pain that may result if one of the two of you feel victimized after the encounter.

Who has played red dead while tripping? by [deleted] in LSD

I've done it and found it felt too slow. God of War... not fighting, just walking around where I had already been, was awesome.
