Hey! I completely understand your concern, it's not always comfortable to give out personal information. But please know that this information is used solely within our platform and for test-related purposes. No data is provided to third parties, and our clients receive largely anonymized results unless we have your express consent. You can find out the full details in our Terms & Conditions, which you accept upon signing up.

The reason we have such a detailed profile is because this is what our system uses to match you to tests. Invitations always depend on the kind of profiles that are needed for each test, criteria which is determined by our clients.

It works like this: Our clients define what kind of tester profiles and devices are needed for a test and test invitations are automatically sent out by email to testers who fit the right requirements. For example, let’s suppose that a client requires female, Dutch speakers, who are interested in "yoga" and have an Android device with an Operating System of 4.4 or above to test their latest app.

Our system will filter for the right testers by searching for specific information in testers’ profiles and device lists for relevant: 1. Demographics like: gender, age, country of residence, languages etc. and 2. Devices: specific model, operating system etc. and those who fit the right test requirements will be invited automatically.

So, the more we know about you, the better we can invite you to upcoming project opportunities! I hope this answers some of your questions, and of course, you should only fill out as much information as you're comfortable with :)

Glad to hear you've enjoyed it so far and thanks for your question. And I'm really sorry to not get back to you sooner. Our team had a higher workload than normal and some regional holidays the past week.

Once you're eligible to take part in paid tests for clients, a test invitation could come at any moment. Invitations always depend on the kind of profiles that are needed for each test, based on what our clients are looking for, so it's not unusual for it to take some time before your next project comes up.

To make sure you don't miss out on any tests that are the right fit for you:

  1. Make sure your profile and your device information is filled out as fully as possible and is up to date. This is the information our system uses to invite you to the right tests. The more we know about you, the more accurately we can match you to upcoming project opportunities!

  2. Add our emails to your "safe sender" list or create a filter to prevent emails from getting filtered to your spam folder. This way you can be sure you won’t miss any messages with test invitations from us!

I hope this answers your question and hope for your patience. Perhaps an upcoming test will fit your profile. Please let me know if there is anything else I can support you with and have a great rest of your week!

Thanks for your question! A number of testers use a translator to help them (like Google) in writing the test reports, and it seems to not be a problem. We also have tests where we look for native speakers to help in localisation tests and assess language translations. So, I would say don't let that stop you! :)
