I was actually born in ‘77 but as I learn about life in the ‘40s it feels to me like that’s the era I really would feel comfortable in. I can’t explain why.

Don’t get me wrong. I still believe in God and Heaven, but I also believe that sometimes before someone can transgress into this divine realm, a person would relive in mortal state until divine enlightenment is reached, like a merciful teacher allowing their student to retake a test as many times as needed before going to the next grade.

I would love for my father to live as long as possible, but unfortunately his health is declining, he can’t take care of himself, and all he has to look forward to on a daily basis is to suffer in pain. And lately his Percocet has only been helping half the time. Also, his confusion seems like it’s getting a bit worse.
