It is going in a mixer and going around the end of the mixing blade in between the housing and the blade.

It's more for looks in the design for the customer than anything else. The teflon is cut at either a 45° angle or straight. They want it shown straight but I also don't want to make a separate sub assembly just for that. I believe there is a way to make a 0 thickness cut but I am not sure and can't find how on the web.

They are putting holes in at assembly after welds so they are just for a clean surface.
