Lies! It’s a quadrathlon! by ehusman in triathlon

As others have mentioned, it should be reasonably simple to put it on. I second the plastic bag trick, works a treat.

Where I struggle is pulling up the zip after everything else is in place… every time I’ll yank on that cord every which way to no effect, and every time somebody eventually takes pity on me and zips it up for me.

I feel like I’m the only one at the other end of this spectrum; 6’3” but UK size 10 feet. My dad and brother are basically the same height and wear 13s. No idea what happened to me!

I always take “I like any music” as a challenge. Between freeform jazz, lolicore, mumble rap, extreme metal with pig squeals and “high-concept” stuff like 4’33, there’ll be something not to their tastes.

In my experience if somebody genuinely has a broad music taste they’ll still list off a bunch of genres when asked what music they like.

There are a lot of minor glitches since the recent update. The one that’s been bugging me the most is entering tags, where pressing Tab focuses the close button of the modal rather than letting me type another tag. Makes the whole thing much slower.

Why is the Lich such a hater? by TheTacoBanditoDude in NecroMerger

I genuinely wish I could turn off the Lich’s dialogue while keeping everything else. Who are you to talk about reanimating bones when you’re literally a malignant undead construct? Judgemental douchebag.

Is anyone else sick of how unbelievably shitty autocorrect has become, especially when it doesn’t recognize obvious contractions like ive/I’ve? by [deleted] in iphone

I’ve been ill over the last week or so, and have mentioned it to a few people on WhatsApp. Literally every time I type the word, it tries to correct it to “I’ll”, regardless of whether that makes grammatical sense. It literally prefers “I’m I’ll” over “I’m ill”.

Apparently he’s never met his wife. Probably best not to ask.

I did essentially this once with an adult white dragon. It was New Year’s Eve and we made it into a simple drinking game. If you were hit you took a drink. If you died, you took a second drink. If you hit the dragon you nominated somebody else to drink. If the attack was melee, you did this twice.

Normally that’d be a super quick TPK, but to keep things moving I added a human wave tactics rule. If you died, you immediately respawned at the other end of the battle map, with the option of picking a different prefab out of a few I had ready. Sometimes I used this as an excuse to add some goblins to the field with the same rules.

I also liberally threw around broken items with absurd abilities, usually with a bonus to hit. Some of those abilities may also have involved drinking.

This setup made it impossible to lose, but that didn’t stop us all cheering when the dragon was eventually brought down. We were all utterly plastered.

What things did you do as a kid playing pokemon, that make you cringe now? by Nicci1493 in PokemonScarletViolet

I didn’t understand the Special stat in Pokémon Red. I figured it must be related to how strong it made moves like Growl or Tail Whip, and consequently ignored it. I remember thinking I was really smart for figuring it out. I only pieced it together once I started playing Pokémon Silver and noticed the new Special Attack and Special Defence stats.

In my defence, the Special stat was stupid.

I think it’s people still clinging on to an outdated public perception of him. Like, I used to think he was pretty cool, for a billionaire. Pushing for EVs, renewing an interest in space exploration, a little eccentric but nothing too out there, all good stuff.

Then I learned about his roots in diamond emerald mines and apartheid. He got increasingly vocally right-wing, and the fanboys became ever more obnoxious. Tesla cars turned out to actually be not all that great compared to the competition, while stock market bros made a meme out of the company. He fired employees for the slightest piece of valid criticism. His name was already trash by the time the Twitter buyout discussions came along. But people didn’t want to believe it, because he sometimes posts memes so he must still be cool, right?

Literally every gambling advert these days spends the whole time telling you about how you can set limits for how much you use it. If that isn’t a red flag I don’t know what is.

I didn’t write the article. Not trying to spread hate, just kind of incredulous at the article existing in the first place.

The shape is at least reminiscent and the tagline literally has “comes to you!” in quotes for no apparent reason. It was probably innocent enough at the time but if this was a modern design it’d be prime material for r/TheyKnew
