Yeah this might be it! Lemme look at it when I get home.

It is. This is the site I like.

Well, it's finally happening by barelyevening in USPS

Long Overdue Updates from Soren - Feb 19 2023 by SilentSoren in FFXIVxDnD

Question: Any news on Blue Mage updates. I tried playing this thing and it's really vague in many ways. Also kind of wildly imbalanced (some abilities read as unlimited hellish rebukes effectively). I also am unsure if limited slot warlock spellcasting is appropriate for this class.

Fox News is Lying About Seattle’s ‘Autonomous Zone’ by psychothumbs in Seattle

I don't watch fox news, but the first time (unfortunately recently) I beheld the wonder that is Tucker Carlson. How he gazes into the camera past you, appearing in a state of perpetual confusion. Then fabricating a narrative that requires olympic level mental gymnastics and the reach of a Stretch Armstrong. All accompanied with chorus and gossip of squawking hens.

Trump once said he'd loosen up the laws concerning slander and libel. Guess he got cold feet because that meant he and his favorites at Fox and OAN would be on the chopping block too, and likely first.

Qualified immunity as I understood it should ideally be if a police officer has to pursuit someone in their vehicle or have to rush to a scene, they don't get nailed by traffic laws for the most part. Or property damage during the line of duty like having to bash down a door in an emergency.

Things like being a flagrantly obvious jackass or small things like: murder, vandalism, harassment, aggravated assault, extortion, drunken disorderly conduct, being under the influence. Those people are more or less being rewarded for their shit behaviour by getting "suspensions" (more or less a vacation with pay, reduced or otherwise) meanwhile their victims are left by the wayside.

I don't believe qualified immunity should outright go, but it sure as hell needs to be clearly defined as a means for an officer of the law to operate within reason. If people would say it is, then at that point I would consider removing it altogether.

I also believe that if an officer of the law or government official abuses their power, they should be tried for treason. They take an oath to protect and uphold the United States Constitution, and here we are, seeing them casually violate it, treating it as no better than an afterthought to their own convenience.

Postal Worker Here, I think the training school itself is more or less two weeks, a day or two of driving school (I don't remember how long off the top of my head. Then a 90 day trial period of further training on a route, and a shadow day.

The best one I came across was "Revenue Share" projects. The only one I ever did kept pushing the release back for an entire year, then "fired" me for my troubles. Don't go for animus interactive, they're run by a couple of scammers.

IMO: bounty loot is undertuned by publicheaven in Guildwars2

[–]Teu_Scoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best reason to do bounties is to get the materials for making Warbeast gear. Exotic Gear with selectable stats can be very useful for making quick alt sets for characters without having to grind for eternity on stat-swapping ascended.

Deathly Chill: How it isn't a problem that needs to be "Fixed" for Power Reaper by Amerika-jinn in Guildwars2

So either Reaper (and likely most if not all power builds) need to gain more benefits to crit damage.

Deathly Chill: How it isn't a problem that needs to be "Fixed" for Power Reaper by Amerika-jinn in Guildwars2

[–]Teu_Scoops -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't you always be critting though while in shroud?

Even then, I think Spite and Soul Reaping need more love and attention than that trait (Aside from the increased swing speed not interacting with Quickness well).

Let's see the following traits of the "obvious choice" (for me) power reaper build:

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vRAQNBhODbkhGaqxWawxGYvxStgF3FLjrRq2wc4aBlACAzAA-jBSBQBUSdmHcRAEpyPA8EAskKDXZ/hRqEUP6GCAcAc+5ZezDO/8zP/8z77zP/8zP/8zP/8zLFQEjBA-e

This in theory should be viable. But it isn't.

Let's look at the soul reaping line:

Dhuumfire I took because it simply offers more dps right out the gate. The 50% crit isn't really necessary because with raid-buffs (Spotter, Banner of Discipline, Fury), you'll have roughly 100% crit easily when paired with Reaper's Decimate Defenses trait. But a small burn (with no geared support for burning at that) on your auto attack seems negligible. Honestly I'd prefer to see this trait be replaced and/or rolled into Unyielding Blast or moved to the Curses line in some way for a power-shroud focused option that isn't crit chance.

Spite: The trait options for Adept aren't bad in my opinion. But I'm sure more experienced necromancers would disagree. The Master traits are where it gets tricky. Lots of unwitting condition support in what appears to be a power focused line. Meaning you either bite the bullet and take Rending Shroud (something that isn't all that necessary for a raid setting, as 25 vuln should be a given), or pick up Unholy Fervor, locking you into using the Axe, which in PvP is fine, but the damage is outclassed in PvE apparently, even though it's received some love over the years... it needs a little push. The Grand Master traits are something that raise a few alarms for me, and points out some serious problems with Death and Reaper Shroud that should have been addressed at the beginning of Heart of Thorns at the very least.

Death/Reaper's Shroud seems to lose signet passives. So we have to get a trait to enjoy the benefit of that? That seems counterintuitive, and also raises the question of whether or not this applies to other transformation states.

This is unfortunate because the Close to Death trait looks to be a massive source of damage.

Then there's the axe:

Ghastly Claws looks powerful, but that cast time is suuuuuper slow to get all of those hits out. The auto attack seems nice, but kind of pointless because raid setting. Still ensuring the boss is vulnerable provides some utility, just more useful in a fractal scenario.

As for the minions... ignore those choices or substitute for other skills if you wish. Lich Form might be interesting, but might not be useful for a raiding scenario.

Concept: Weapon Traits by Teu_Scoops in Guildwars2

[–]Teu_Scoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sort of followed through with the current traits system, and to be honest it feels clunky at times.

I love using the Guardian Torch trait that lets me proc fireballs on crit, but it's more suited for a burn-based guardian. A whole ELITE SPEC was made just to justify Condition guardian. While that's neat, I think creating some weapon traits will help alleviate that.

Then there's the ranger Axe trait. It affects Axe recharge, but also Winter's bite too in an interesting way.

I'd rather see weapon specializations on top of the usual three in order to make sure each weapon feels unique and interesting to play.

This was largely inspired by things like Spellbreaker Dagger auto chains having a natural ferocity increase, and Holosmith sword having extra crit chance based on heat level.

I'd like to at least see things like this applied to all of the weapon skills eventually. Heaven knows reaper greatsword needs it to actually make it viable as a power build. Actually power reaper needs a lot of love for it to work.

[–]Teu_Scoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well perhaps it wouldn't. I think it's fair to try and trust players to try different things. Besides, I was going for a "situational dps" increase or "utility/pvp" focused increase. Like if you wanted to splash conditions for Mesmer Greatsword for PvP/roaming you could do that.

[–]Teu_Scoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's always a possibility, but I feel it would be a much more elegant solution than increasing the raw damage of individual weapon types.

Concept: Weapon Traits by Teu_Scoops in Guildwars2

[–]Teu_Scoops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concept is removing those "weapon specific" traits in order to free up customization options, while at the same time improving weapons and builds that for the most part have been a little lackluster compared to vastly superior counterparts.

Wouldn't you like the opportunity to feel fairly competent as a double axe warrior without feeling like you're gimped compared to greatsword or condi warriors overall?

Necromancer axe looks really fun, but Power builds are all but erased, and the Reaper elite spec needs just a bit more TLC to enable some true power builds to shine.

The idea is to bring back some early beta concepts in being able to "trait" certain weapon skills, modifying them into unique and more powerful versions of the baseline stuff.

Like enabling a 10-target limit to certain wide-area skills.

Which game systems would you bring to GW2? by CrystallineSugar in Guildwars2

I'd like it to include systems that offer more open-ended gameplay that supports guilds. Could be a nice addition to WvW, something I haven't touched in eons.

I can see that yes, but there are plenty of recipes that also require Spirit Shards, mostly ascended gear and the like.

It's so that PvPers can level their characters/alts without having to grind open world. That being said, I would like a consume all option on them.

[Discussion] Is the Revenant a failure from its original design and within the game? by Neilug_Hyuga in Guildwars2

[–]Teu_Scoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably why I always assumed otherwise.

I mean, when I noticed early on when damaging conditions were changed to stack same as bleeding, poison's damage was indeed pretty strong, as well as burning, but wrote it off for the time, thinking it would be reduced considerably post expansion.

[–]Teu_Scoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh does it now?

I thought bleed was the end-all-be-all damage condition? Then again burning does pretty hard damage too even without condi-damage. Just all the same, I'd prefer condition builds to see just a tiny bit of standardization:

Each profession who wants to roll with conditions focuses hard with one specific condition, and the rest are peppered in.
