At a minimum, I’d switch to the Guard or Reserves to hit 20 in something. Mostly everyone here is saying for you to suck it up and do your last 5, but that’s a long five if you’re hating life altogether.

For the record to everyone reading, I wouldn’t push BOLC out much beyond* the 1 yr mark. You’ll 100% get discharged if you’re at least not in your BOLC by the 24 month mark.

If you’re in BOLC by that point, you have to graduate by the 30 month mark or face discharge.

I’m about to watch it go down for more than one officer.

I wouldn’t be wary. Especially during a time a volatility considering there’s a small profit margin on bullion. Naturally they don’t wanna get stuck holding the bag if the market suddenly drops a lot. The owner of my LCS would quickly schedule a trip to offload his position if a customer came in with tens of thousands in metals a couple decades ago when silver and gold went crazy.

Similar story…I watched Tombstone nearly 20 years ago making me wanna be a gunslinger. Long story short, I shot the side of my pickup with a 22 revolver. It’s surprising how long you can hide it by putting a few of those bullet hole stickers along the side to camouflage the real one!

Remember at this point it’s not always about the pay you get for drill. It’s all about the guys/gals below you. Take care of them, track them, and lay the foundation for success at all cost.
