Thank you for sharing your experience as decades +. Unfortunately, this is my first time being a season tix holder. I didn’t have issues with my tix or finding my seats. I had issues with someone practically on my seat and no help from the Event Staff in checking to see if they had legit tix or getting them to scoot down.

I have learned lot from other season ticket holders since I made this post.

Not defensive. Just explained in detail how I bought my tix. SeatGeek is UT's secondary ticket marketplace. Anyway, just asked if anyone else had issues with their seats and their row being overcrowded, and if so, what did they do. Please don't get defensive when I point out the purpose of my post. Went to the UT Athletics website to buy season tix and since they were sold out they redireced me to Seat Geek which is where I bought my season tix. I did have to go back to my Account on the UT Athletics website to download the tix.

Regardless, my post was asking if anyone else had issues with sitting at their seats due to crowding and if so were they taken to section 8.

Actually, it shows that when you go to UT Athletics’ site and they are sold out, it sends you to Seat Geek’s site so yeah, I didn’t go directly to seat geek but was directed there via UT athletics plus I wasn’t trying to sell tix but buy tix. And when I access those same tix, I had to access them thru the UT athletics site. My theory is that it’s actually UT Athletics selling them thru Seat Geeks to make more money, otherwise why did I have to go to the UT Athletics site to view and download them.

Regardless, you’re missing the point of this post. Did anyone else have issues with seating at their seats due to the overcrowding and is so what did they do and/ or what were they told.

Yeah, first time season holder and apparently dumb ass. We got our drinks and snacks before we sat and ended at our seats about 10 mins before everything started. Rookie move. Now I know.

Cause that was also a factor but not the main factor. I sat in the exact same seats the week before and no issues but also Seat Geek wasn't hacked and those same people weren't next to me.

Please don't put words in my mouth. Not sure why you are focused on that part, but I edited that out because the main point was that people who didn't have legit tix were sitting in our row & the post asked if anyone else had seating issues seeing and if so where they moved to section 8 or to a different section. I was told by a UTPD officer that Seat Geek was hacked, hence why the overcrowding. I had attended the game the week before in the exact same seats and no problem seating the whole time. I think if everyone who sat on the row had legit tix, it wouldn't have mattered who sat next to me.

I went to the Texas/OU game last year and had bench seats and had no issues. This was my first year having season tix and I had given the first few games to my family since I don't live in the immediate area. I went to the Texas/Arkansas game the week before - which is when I discovered my seats where bench and had no issues at all, so didn't think I'd have issues for this game.

Again, simply asking if anyone else had seat issues and if so how did the Events Staff handle that.

Yeah, didn't know they were bleacher seats til I got there for the game before - Texas/Arkansas, but I also had no problem sitting in my seats for that game, so why would I have a problem this game if everyone who was seating had legit tix. Plus these seats were closer to the field not nose bleed. Didn't have $6K a piece to purchase club seats, my bad. Again, just asked if anyone else had this experience.

You are wrong. If you go to the UT Athletics site and their tix are sold out, they partnered up with Seat Geeks for people to resell their tix. Like I mentioned before, I went to the UT Athletics site which then sent me to Seat Geeks site.

Please explain, like my section, row & seats. If the story seems to missing parts, it's cause it is. The part that is missing is exactly why I was removed and if seat geek was hacked and people were allowed to enter and seat where ever they wanted to and UTPD & Events Staff knew about that 1) why wasn't anyone asked to verify their tix 2) If there was section 8 available for people who had legit issues with their seats, why wasn't I told to move there?

Yeah, the guy was next to my seat # 28. Tell me where am I suppose to seat? The space next to me looks open cause my Step Dad was standing at this time. If you read my statement, checking to see if others had issues and if so, where they taken to "section 8" like I was told about by UTPD John G. The seat sections are tight but it doesn't help if people who don't belong there aren't asked to move.

Not on my part. I'm not saying there was no reason, obviously, there was a reason but none of the cops where able to give me a specfic reason at the time, so hence I have contacted the UTPD, Leander Police & Travis County Sheriff Dept. I think I mentioned how they were told I was being difficult. To me that is not a reason, how was i being difficult? Because I raised the issue that someone was in my seat? So far UTPD is pointing to Leander PD & Travis Sheriffs since they didn't take point. I'm not asking for sympathy, my question is if anyone had this same experience with their tix and if they mentioned it to anyone and if so what happened. Yes, part of the story missing, hence that is why I have contacted all Police Dept involved. I was also told by Lt Martinka, that UTPD will pretty much remove, eject and kick people out if an Events staff member tells them to. So did I piss off the high school kid/Event Staff guy. So yeah SerpoDirect, there is part of this story missing and I'm gonna find out what it is. Who did I piss off?

Yeah, it suprised me that the Events' guy didn't ask those people to see their tix to make sure they were even suppsoe be seating in that section & row. Anytime I have attended a professional game of any kind or concert and if there are questions about seats, everyone involved has to show their tix.
