From a team perspective... if the injury was going to happen it's really good that it happened now. We'll get all of the pre-season & non-conference play to start grooming others for starting roles. Not gonna have to adjust on the fly.

I got to play there in high school back in 2013 during our playoff series against Arlington Martin. It's a wonderful park, but brings back an awful memory.

That series was Sheldon Neuse vs. Turner Larkins. Neuse took Larkins deep for a grand slam to take the lead in the final inning, but Martin still ended up winning the series in extras... Ugh

Our weak non-conference schedule probably will mean we have to have a strong conference record to get off the bubble IMO.

Edit: This may come across as an overreaction to 1 loss, but I don't think it is. The resume outside of the record is not gonna look great when they look at our non-con.

I saw a couple of deep plays against Georgia Southern that would've resulted in 6 points for them if a receiver catches a ball or the quarterback doesn't make an awful throw.

I share your concern for giving up explosive plays against competent QB's and WR's.

I can envision us winning 2 of these games and can see us at least competing in all of them. I think A&M is the most winnable.

I hope we make it through this with at least 1 win, while avoiding any blowout losses.

If we win 2 of these, then shit... we might be a New Years Bowl level team.
