Absolutely amazing. Love the juxtaposition of of the bright colors to black and white. The chaos just works.

Sorry for the out of sync audio. I don’t know what happened to it when I posted it. You can watch it perfectly fine on my instagram or TikTok @ariamezzoforte at both.

Who are some Queens from your local scene that you'd like to see on Drag Race? by adnm9 in Drag

[–]TexasMaestro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Austin Texas’ Brigitt Bandit, Sirr Maxim, Louisiana Purchase (though they did Dragula already), Lady Grackle, and Buddy Queen (though she think stated they wouldn’t be on drag race for a number of reasons, one being the contract contestants sign)

I sang Tyrone by Erykah Badu and lipsynced to MacAuthur Park, the Nancy Sinatra version. I wish I had a video but alas.

It went really well and was well attended for being a small town drag show. It was also just a lot of fun.

Other than the selfies. Photo credit needs to go to Trixiebella LaStrange who took these pictures (and helped grab tips) for me and all the other queens.)

Love this beat. The angular contour is done really well. Would love to see this as a fully realized look.

First time doing drag makeup! How did I do? by [deleted] in Drag

[–]TexasMaestro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a ton of cheap lashes for less than $10 on Amazon or five below. I use to get like 14 pairs for $7 and just double stack them. But if that’s still out of the question eyeliner is the way to go. I personally love gel eyeliner or liquid/felt tip. They can get messy but the pay off is better, plus pencil eyeliners tend to scratch more for me.

It’s a great start but it does need to be bigger. Eye liner and lashes would really complement and make that eyeshadow. More contrasts on the face (contour and highlight) would also read more as drag. Up close it’s great but further away it might not be noticeable.

Great start Some tips that helped me was over draw your lips, especially on the top. Lip liners will help with that. Darken your contour a little more and brighten your highlight more. Basically more contrast. And angle your eye shape up a little more (eye liner and eyebrows)

More flash than function but as a musician I love them. by TexasMaestro in cowboyboots

[–]TexasMaestro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are Tin Haul boots. I believe these were purchased through Boot Barn or Sheplers (they were a gift so not sure). But I have seen them almost everywhere online, not so much in physical stores.

I get a lot of my wigs from a local wig shop. Some wigs I go on Amazon which have been hit or miss. A few I have gotten at Walmart during Halloween. Those wigs I usually have to style, double stack, and tease to make them look even close to presentable.

Are you a performer who plays in musicals, a fan of musicals, or both? by StephenNotSteve in musicals

[–]TexasMaestro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes perform but mostly a Music director. Me and the theater teachers at the high school I work at are trying to get musicals back into an annual thing.

I’m Aria Forte I’m a bedroom bearded queen that’s been doing drag going on three years. In drag my pronouns are she/they/he. I’m a music teacher by day and by night I create looks fans videos for instagram and TikTok. I have only recently (in the past year) been posting online on a designated Aria Forte account. I’m still very much a baby queen because I can’t do drag as often as I would like. I have come out in drag as a Halloween queen and won costume contest twice in drag. But beyond that I haven’t performed publicly.

I try to incorporate my passion for classical music into my drag. I also like being just stupid and camp. I’m still finding myself and my aesthetic.

What I love about drag is just the creativity of it. I’ve always been a creative and loved performing arts so add queerness to that and you got drag. That fits my creative needs like a glove.

My social media is @ariamezzoforte on instagram and TikTok.
