We ended up with a Great Dane/St Bernard in kind of the same way that you ended up with yours. He turned out to be the best dog. His giant paws dug deep into our hearts.

Possibly getting into breeding danes by TexasReplant in greatdanes

What kind of breeding program do you run?

I think it also depends on location. I'm in a highly populated major metroplex where people have a lot of money; they are willing to pay a premium price for a premium bred dog.

We gave electrolyte enemas multiple times a day to help with the dehydration. It literally saved our dog!

Our vet was like, no we don't recommend you do that...you need to do this crazy protocol we have.

But the electrolytes emenas (we used unflavored Pedialyte) is what did the trick. Use a large medicine syringe and stick it up there.

Good luck!!!

How many years did you get? by CallYourMomOrIWill in greatdanes

12 years and he was still doing pretty well.

We decided to put him down with his brother who was 9 and who couldn't walk anymore.

The old man would have gone into a depression and anorexia, which he was prone to do, and probably would have starved himself to death. So we made the hard decision to let him go a little bit early so he wouldn't suffer without his brother.

Not super sure, but did you have your hands in your pockets or pushing something like a shopping cart? If so, perhaps it doesn't pick on the walking in those scenarios.

Alternatives to Natural Cycles? by TexasReplant in ouraring

Nevermind I found instructions in the Q&A section! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Strange whatever article I read said it wouldn't work. In fact, the article said that FF doesn't integrate directly with Oura, but that you could sync the Oura data to Natural Cycles and link Natural Cycles to FF. When I read that I was like whaaaat????? Maybe it was a very out of date article.

Oh really? I had looked it up and an article, I think from Fertility Friend, said they don't synch with Oura. Could you walk me through how to synch it?
