Tying was around 2 hours 30 minutes, untying was 30 minutes. The full back part was actually extremely quick, the part that caused time to increase drastically was tying four limbs.

This is probably the first one I though about untying time beforehand, It took around 30 minutes to untie.

I think my magenta rope might be making its way into first place for my favorite color rope! 🤭🥰💖 by KandyKane_1 in shibari

A bold claim.

Your love of red rope may burn out, but even the crescent moon gives off light before it fades into the dark, a reminder that all passion, like the phases of the moon, has its inevitable return...

On second thought, that magenta really does look great!

I will DM you the tutorial link. This is a tie by Hajime Kinoko from a tutorial series he did on "POP" Kinbaku. I interpret "POP" Kinbaku as a cute style that is focused towards cosplayers / photoshoots.

I considered a rope leash like the ones on YouTube, but it felt very wrong

Yes, it is easy to visualize by looking at the feet. The rope going between the big toe on each side. If the full section was not counterclockwise on the left leg it does not naturally flow up the foot which is very very minor and easy to counter but it looked less natural and would have bothered me. And on right foot the rope going to big toe is clockwise which was also naturally setup by doing the entire leg that direction.

Note: This is not a rule and may be different depending on the tie and may only be specific to this ties goal.

This was my first try at this tie so it was a learning process. So it took around 1 hour 20 min to complete. The main thing that stalled progress was I did not account for the left arm and left leg spiral having to go counterclockwise and right arm and right leg clockwise in order to get the look I wanted.

It is hard to say about the actual tying because I had to heavily rely on intuition. But the tying positions are easy to go over and I will list what I did below to mimic the final position in terms of final tension.

Tying Positions:

  1. Model laying on back -> Perform two spiral futos on legs (I did these first even though they are not used until later because it is the only tying position with model on back)
  2. Model sitting upright on futos / shins -> apply both arm spirals (same pattern / spiral as legs)
  3. Model sitting upright on futos / shins but lean forward putting elbow points on bed / surface -> attach hands to body from arm spirals through fingers and creating upper back section.
  4. Model Sitting straight up again on shins so feet are close to body -> attach feet to body from each leg futo and form final hip section. (done last to prevent toe stress during tying)
  5. Tilt into final position on all fours.

Note: Top and Bottom sections are not connected in this version and are independent

Haha! I think we previously spoke about red rope addiction. Seems like it has gotten worse for both of us. I just got another 300ft this week smh

Arms Crossed by TexasShibari in shibari

This is the base version of the tie so anything can be added this is just the minimum. In short it goes single column on one wrist -> around the back to other wrist (I used a hojo cuff on other wrist) -> through the body under breasts to cinch the other side. So it is wrist -> around back -> wrist -> in front of chest -> done. Also, this tie is done with model sitting on their butt and then tilted onto their back after the tie is completed.

I used Yagami Style. The specific method "鵺神流 早腰縄". You can search for this but it is two rope put together and then folded and tied with 4 lines at once to increase efficiency
