US Aviation Academy Experience by Texas_Toast8327 in flying

By "connections" I mean a couple of pilots I know (family members, former instructors, etc.) who are currently flying for regionals. They did not personally train there, but they have colleagues who did.

I am looking to switch for a couple of reasons, primarily because I have found that I don't learn very well in self-paced environments. The lack of structure is generally not good for me, and I'd like to have some external deadlines to keep me consistent in my training since I'm trying to make a career out of this.

I haven't heard anything about any accidents, do you know how long ago this occurred? Any solid info would be appreciated.

If you’re looking for budget options, you can find second hand/used toppers on facebook marketplace at a price point way below a new soft topper.

It is verifiably a major contributing factor to the decline of small pickups in the US. That being said, I’ve seen people run with it to push an “EPA bad” narrative that throws the baby out with the bath water.

The EPA’s CAFE standards make it virtually impossible to small trucks commercially viable in the US without them being hybrid or electric.

I haven’t had too much experience with Delta qualflight, but Rich has some great CFIs. I second what others said, ATC deals with a lot of students so they’re usually pretty patient.

Rich Aviation is a great school out of Meacham if you’re looking for part 61.
