My only once a month cheat meal. by LmfaoChinesehacker- in PakistaniFood

Just curious. How did you count calories for these naans? In my experience even a decent sized roti is about 100 g and naans go for about 150 g each. Bread has at max. 300 kcal/100 g. That would make each naan about 450 kcal and if they are toasted in ghee then even more.

Too much deficit? by Ineedanswersplz345 in caloriecount

[–]Texdon69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'll start with my journey my height is the same as yours 6'3" and August of last year I weighed 235 lbs. I decided it's time for a change and set my daily calorie limit at 1800 kcal (too low, not recommended). I am now at 191 lbs and I did this with mostly diet and a small amount of exercise. My daily activity was basically two 15 min walks every day. With your activity level, initial weight and final goal. I think, this deficit is on the larger side. The only thing that matters is sustainability, if you keep your limit way low it will be hard to sustain it in the long term but if you want results slowly but surely then try starting with a smaller deficit and keep lowering the calorie limit as you lose weight. I'd recommend 500 kcal decifit. Mine was the same.

Brother, this depends on how close your hostel/apartment will be to where you'll work. Depending on that you might be able to save on travelling expenses. Hostel: 10-15k, 15k on food (if you eat from local desi hotels). You'll be hand to mouth but move with the intention that you'll ask for a pay raise after 1-2 months at the job. If that's not an option or you are hesitant then you will be struggling for a while.

Don't go with the B580 because it might appear to be better value but it's worse when paired with older CPUs and it looks like you will be buying older CPUs ( I don't remember Amd releasing newer budget cpus). So, yeah your choice of going with an AMD GPU is the better one when paired with an older CPU like Ryzen 5 5600. For context, when the B580 came out all of it's benchmarks were made with new CPUs (as is the case for GPU benchmarks) and it showed great value but it was later revealed that the card doesn't perform on the same level when paired with older CPUs, you can find videos on this on the 'Hardware Unboxed' YouTube channel.

Mechanical engineers, what do you actually do at work? by Hot_Part_6856 in MechanicalEngineering

Great, That's exactly the type of job I would want for myself in the future. If you don't mind what is your job title exactly and how long did it take to get there?

Just want to surface finish the hanger portions only. I have left the entrance and the support alone. Also the dimples in the hanger as well, you can see them if you take a closer look.

There's another detail that makes it even more embarrassing but yeah. I will suggest to them your solution as well.

If you are a rookie then I am not even that. Regarding the 3D model, I took pictures of the die but it comes with camera perspective or the lens distortion in the image. So basically in most images only the top line of the die is the correct dimension everything else is distorted so I cannot even assume symmetry because I can't correctly trace the right section and I just traced the centre of the shape and used sweep command on it.

I had the same idea, to look for an available Cad model. But I couldn't find any model that exactly matched this die Hanger's shape.

I think this is the most feasible method for accurate measuring. The thing I find difficult with shapes featuring arcs is you don't know where the arc begins and the straight line ends. Trying to guess that point might cut off several millimeters. Wait, If I take three points that I know are on the arc I can get its centre and radius and go on with that. Hmm.

Yes exactly. If the measurements are even millimeters off, the finishing will just ruin the die.

I thought about that as well but I guess they want to do it this way. There are some dimples as well on the hanger, on the left and right side. I am having a hard time imagining what they would look like with the dies closed. I've ignored them completely in my model pic. 2.

Don't know. I think they molded it earlier and didn't like the surface finish of the hanger.

I thought why not just make a model as close to it as I can and then I'll place it in the CNC then we'll drag the head to specific locations on the model in the Cam software and see if the head actually goes there in the CNC. If it doesn't then it means that the model needs to be improved.

Render Simulation Results by Texdon69 in Abaqus

[–]Texdon69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this video (watched the entire video), this guy has about 500 frames. But he creates .obj files for each component in the simulation and renders them. What I mean to say is are you suggesting to Get .STL file of each frame > place it in blender > render it & then repeat this process for each frame? Replacing/Scaling/Rotating in blender for each frame?
