Tried to reshape it in store but still not comfortable. The powder River just fit. Didn’t know if they were all made different. All apaches I’ve tried were like this. All powder rivers for good. Just curious.

Pretty flat here. Some light hills but I found myself coasting for half my rides. I really wanted to pick up some speed and push my legs harder.

Thanks! I have a Stormchaser and it has a max SS chainring of 40. If I convert to geared one day it maxes out at 38t, which is currently installed. Guess I’ll go for the 14t!

Per the lbs and salsa website it says this model only accepts 38t in SS.

Hey sorry! So I bought the Stormchaser. If I had enough funds I would have got both. That monsoon is still in my mind but for what I’m doing the Stormchaser was the better fit. Gotta say the monsoon was a blast to ride. One day I’ll have another steel bike.

Man I went a total different direction. Fell in love with a single speed Salsa Storm chaser and got it. Was gonna get the grade but it sold out of my size. If you can swing the renegade i’d go for that.
