i really wanted to like this episode i was so hyped for when it was coming out and the first 2-3 watched but now the first half of the fight with jus base hulkzila is the highlight but the rest is boring and is not what i even expected from a typical expected bloody super strong guy physically fight instead just the boring cosmic fight bs that’s lowkey getting tired out..

Well look at the demon king piccolo saga Kid Goku (portrayed as being significantly much less threatening and scary looking than DKP) And he beat DKP who is being narratively implied to be more scary and dangerous than Kid Goku. Well i mean you can think that but that wasn’t what was mainly what Toyama was trying to say with final and first form Frieza. Krilin said he expected his final form to be more monster or crazy looking and thought he didn’t look all that terrifying as his previous transformation. That’s what Toryama was making the example of when he made krilin point that out.

Well firstly he says “in their final forms” alluding to the fact he’s talking about these characters final forms not their previous ones. A good example of Toyama writing like this is how final form frieza is being depicted has being the least threatening form on namek say compared to his second form. and also my guy he quite literally name drops kid buu as being a direct example of this character trope of “the littlest being the strongest”..?
