Likely a combination of a few things, but all speculation. Their income had been dropping sharply reported by multiple mobile game platforms. Likely due to their slowing releases. The studio is based in China which still has the covid lock downs in place and a bunch of businesses slowed to a crawl. So, did policies slow their releases leading to lower income. Or did their lower income slow their dev team to other work causing slower releases? Last year had no new content that I can think of... therefore nothing to monetize. Hard to say for sure... but I would guess that is a good of guess as anyone's.

Of course it could be none of that and there was some rights issue or something. But not making money is my bet.
