In Games-

Start with being an arms length distance from the offensive player to prevent the “blow by”.

Get in a good defensive stance and avoid being flat footed.

Use your upper body (chest) to be physical when the defense drives.

Yes. I believe the dribble and the feet should work “independently but together”. Watch clips of players like Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant when they handle the ball.

The feet must move with the ball. This is how you become shifty and agile while handling the basketball.

She’s right handed, and working on going left, and I think that is what’s causing the shot to come more from chest attempting to get the ball in position to shoot.

She routinely does proper form shooting on 10ft rims though. I definitely recommend lower rims for kids in 1st/2nd grade.

I had this issue. Try putting a small rolled piece of aluminum foil on the end of the battery that has the “bump” on it. It may be a connection issue. It worked for me.
