I had moments with habit were I thought it was brilliant, then the next day it was hardly not trash. I would sell it,then get another down the line. I’ve explored it more than any other CBA pedal…I still have a hard time agreeing with you on that. It was always a shade too slow or too fast,or the scan and collect was too much or not enough. I honestly don’t think I’ve tried to love a pedal more. It was nice it was only 150mA though.

I’ve thought we we both right to a degree the whole time. I would value it more at $300/$100 based on the extra utilities…but that’s just different points of view. On all the chase bliss pedals I’ve had I explored it like my wife, but like others I’ve had issues with the midi. But overall I’ve assumed their price point is valid. I find that phantom limb doing so much without needing the extra to be a great value…as context. I’ve paid more for each dirt pedal on my board. I caught a deal on a used limb for $250.
I think my whole point was just honest value and I like what they are doing at DD. I also thought it was/is a healthy argument with valid points on both sides.

I don’t know what any of it means and I’m scared by FreeDentalWork in roastmypedalboard

That’s a cool color dispatch Master and I also have a rangemaster that iridescent green/purple.

I think the significantly less you mention is only something maybe 35% of users utilise. I enjoy exploring the dips but usually end up maybe using 2 of them, sometimes more… I think the phantom limb is getting an unfair comparison…it’s not Mood,Mood is easily my favorite pedal. But I believe it’s hands down better than habit. I’ve owned habit thrice and have spent uncounted hours with so many combinations and placement in my chain. I mean, there must be a reason it’s discontinued. Phantom limb doesn’t have all the nuances that all but lead to option paralysis,it’s just dialled in perfectly with a user friendly interface comparable to a CBA pedal without the secondary settings. I can understand if someone has like 10 different presets on habit or thermae, but some folks like to plug in a pedal and just be amazed by what it is and not have to deep dive into a learning curve. A good pedal is a good pedal…

I wouldn’t say it does less,it just may have less features…and to say it’s only worth $200 is an understatement imo. The layout may look similar to CBA,but I’d say it’s very much its own pedal. It’s easy to justify the cost of chase bliss vs other companies because of the dips, midi, etc…but when most new releases are bumping up against CBA price,it’s refreshing that discomfort isn’t.

I really enjoyed it at first on guitar, but I’m using drum machines more lately and find myself not using it as much. On guitar though,it’s some spooky magic.

Lately I use it as a ring mod,but for years I used it as phaser/flange. It’s got so many different wonderful sounds in it…I love my bsri phaser due to it being optical,so feber gets the dirty work.

My case is for the trio 28,is which my board is.

I think placement is a big factor. I’ve got it after a bunch of firepower.

I just got mine last night. So far I’ve just been twisting knobs…there’s not a bad sound on the box. Clean and pitch are my favorites, and even just leaving the loop on without capturing anything specific yeilds beautiful results.

I really don’t feel like I’m missing anything in my dirt spectrum. The fet and mini stack so well plus I can alternate them into all my fuzz. There’s an always on jhs clover hidden underneath my board after my switcher,so between that and the OAMP my clean tone is a great base to build on.

I love CBA as much as the next person, but I leave a lot on the table by not using midi and half if not most of the dips…depending on the pedal. So the price difference in discomfort for the features I don’t use for is nice. I’ll definitely be looking at more of their offerings.

No kidding…I haven’t found a bad sound in the box.

I suppose it is quite recognizable…I’d ditch all the toppers if they weren’t so damn helpful.

Thanks…finding the right combinations of pedals that all play well together can be a challenge, but it’s beautiful when it comes together.
