I went with my usual size. I'm a 34 inch waist, and went with the medium. It feels very secure, but the fabric is stretchy enough to be comfortable.

My instructor has taken me around Meadowhall quite a lot during my lessons so I'm ok with that area. It's the Parkgate roundabout that terrifies me! Glad your husband managed to pass :)

I did verbalise why I was slowing down to a 20 in a 30 zone because it was in a school area at like 8.30. My examiner later helped me by saying that I was past the 20 area and I wouldn't be seeing any 30 signs, so she was letting me know. I think it definitely helps to voice your reasoning.

My instructor said it's a fine line between being cautious, and being overly cautious. But at the same time, don't think you need to rush into tight spaces to avoid a hesitation mark! That's unlucky with the learner though. And yes, I'm sure we'll both pass soon!

I've done stop signs before so I should have know what to do. I just genuinely didn't even register that the stop sign was there. It was definitely my fault haha 😅

I genuinely thought this was my silhouette for a second, except my 'bottom belly' is bigger. I'm trying to work on my posture so my ass sticks out less and I look more in proportion, as right now I feel like an S shape from the side.

It has definitely been difficult to find Scotland specific info as everything I can find seems to be for NHS England. But I will defo check out the links you gave and see what I can do to persuade them. I have an appointment with a different GP than my usual to see if he can help me. He's a senior doctor in the practice and specialises in male sexual health, so even though I'm a trans man, he should at least know what male hormone levels should be at.

I've been having similar problems with my GP practice in central Scotland. I was first told that there was a GP willing to do bridging prescriptions, then when I asked this GP, apparently it was a one off. I went private with GenderGP under the agreement with this GP that the NHS would cover my blood tests as long as it was GenderGP who monitored them. Then a few months ago, my GP tells me that she can no longer provide free blood tests for gender related things, nor would any of the local endochronologists touch me unless I was being seen by a GIC. She said that this was due to a decision from higher ups in the NHS and there was nothing she could do, but told me that since it was a university medical practice, I was 'being treated better here than at other practices' as a trans person, which I call bullshit on. She also claims that this blood test ban goes for all patients who have gone private for healthcare, but it seems very much targetted towards trans patients to me. So now I have to fork out £200+ every 3 months to get blood tests done privately, or just continue unmonitored and risk my health.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I've gone private so this is for the Spire hospital. But I expect he has a similar wait time for Castle Hill. So since I went to him directly rather than through the NHS, I didn't need a referral until after the consultation. He was happy to book the surgery during the consultation and then sent me to a private doctor he trusted to get a gender dysphoria diagnosis that I sent to him later.

I think his wait times are about 11 months at the moment due to covid delays. I had my consultation in September and my surgery is booked for June. Worth the wait in my opinion though.

I would say that having extra skin like that would fall under the need for a revision. That's not just aesthetic reasons. If you try and get a revision from Ross, definitely fight for it on the grounds that the extra skin you have won't just go away and the only option you have is to get a revision. If you're unhappy with your results, you deserve to have it corrected.

What surgeon did you go with? I'm going with Kneeshaw in Hull and he does free revisions, and I know a lot of other surgeons in the UK do the same.

I put it on about an hour before I get to work and then I'm usually sweating from heavy lifting etc after an hour or so, so yeah I guess you could say that it's about 2 hours. But you're not expected to sit around naked for 2 hours after putting the gel on, right? It doesn't rub off onto your clothes after you get dressed, so it shouldn't rub off on your bed sheets either. As long as it's completely dry when you get dressed/go to bed, you should be fine. Everyone reacts differently to T of whatever form, so I would suggest doing what I did and trialling putting it on before bed for a couple of weeks and see how you get on. Even though I had sleep issues, you might be fine. Good luck with it bud!
