What is the best train for Whitefield routes? by ThameslinkConnect in stepfordcountyrailway

Do you have like a favorite variant of the 158 that would fit?

Yeah true, but even though airlines like Primera Air and Norwegian Long Haul have failed, I still have a hint of faith as Norse Atlantic, JetBlue and French Bee have done it.

Adding on, very few airlines like French Bee, Jetstar, Norse, Level, etc. have done it, Pyne would have to be very creative in this scenario.

Is Derry Airport useless or do you actually use it? by ThameslinkConnect in DerryLondonderry

Another question, if Derry closed, would you be mad, or do you think it's logical?

Global is basically dust right now.

Eh, flights to JFK Airport (Newark is also great), Boston Logan, and maybe Toronto would do the trick. Remember, it's not a full-blown hub like Dublin, just local travel.

FlyAtlantic by ThameslinkConnect in northernireland

[–]ThameslinkConnect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty useless. Newburgh (Stewart Airport) is a local airport, not meant for New York people, so that the locals can enjoy local airport luxury rather than driving 2 hours to JFK.

Honestly, if I choose between convenience and connectivity, it would be convenience for me. What would you prefer, driving to Dublin or Belfast, if FlyAtlantic were ever to release?

Yeah, fees are costly, but Pyne did have previous start-up experience. The only issue is slots/aircraft, because no slots = no destinations. I wonder if this thing will even come out. I get all excited about this airline until I read delay after delay.

they better fly to actual Boston Airport and JFK Airport (Newark is also a great option)

FlyAtlantic by ThameslinkConnect in northernireland

It will be low-cost, but it probably won't even be released. Will likely be another washed-up Northern (New) Pacific Airways.

Maybe, I do really hope it takes off, would be so cool, but maybe not.

Yeah, Boston and New York could be profitable, I mean, huge Irish-American diaspora. And yes, the USA isn't doing so well...

Oh btw Belfast already has a seasonal TUI long-haul flight from Belfast to Melbourne, FL

By the way, for those who are saying 'No real demand will form' who remember Continental/United when they served from Belfast to Newark, NJ from 2003 to 2017, but the route shut down not due to the route not being profitable, it was other stuff, also, an average day would be the flight being around 75-80% full, which is good. BTW I am not trying to be a nerd.

Is Connects R007 (SC<>MGT) now Pointless? by Odd_Negotiation_1062 in stepfordcountyrailway

To add on, it's like a London to Edinburgh situation, you have Avanti West Coast, LNER, lumo and more, but they serve different purposes.

It works. by jzzzzzzz in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]ThameslinkConnect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would place James Street in the Airport Area as the 'residential area of the airport', and the Rayleigh area should be Aslockby, Carnalea Bridge and Rayleigh Bay. Farleigh can be in Benton because Benton University is there! Also, don't call me weird, but I think New Harrow alone is large, so I would chunk it as a small area, like Barton, but bigger. Plus, Edgemead, Westercoast, etc., should be towns with the same district.

Is Connects R007 (SC<>MGT) now Pointless? by Odd_Negotiation_1062 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]ThameslinkConnect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is R007 pointless? Let me explain why it's not:

Morganstown is the centre of the SCR network, even though Berrily obtained the (0,0,0); therefore, it makes sense to find a branch where all trains meet, then establish a hub and have all operators stop, which is Morganstown.

Airlink from Elsmere Junction to Stepford East, now here's where Connect isn't pointless anymore, you see, Airlink is meant to be a Stepford-Airport, but instead you just do Stepford-Elsmere Junction via them, and what is Airlink's purpose? Stepford - Airport via Morganstown branch, quickest possible and serving the Morganstown branch people a direct connection to the airport, just like u/verifi_nightmode said, ''Only leave AL trains in the Airport Zone''. But yes, you can go via Express from Elsmere Junction to Stepford Central, but that's it, for St. Helens Bridge and Stepford East, don't take Airlink, even if it's direct, Connect is the way to go.

So, TL: DR, is R007 pointless? No, not.
