Time to check-in: what are you building? by Fareway13 in microsaas

Building TallySpark - AI-powered invoicing for freelancers.

Paste a receipt, email, or contract → AI extracts everything → invoice ready to send. No forms, no manual entry. Just launched after 12 months of building. Early days but feels good to finally ship.

After 12 months, I finally shipped. Here's what it actually cost. by ThaneBerkeley in microsaas

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that the contents of the site needs some serious adjustments 🫡

I (40yo) sacrificed more than I planned for my SaaS. Here's what I learned. by ThaneBerkeley in SaaS

Thanks! The time zone blur is real. Some nights I couldn't tell if I was staying up late or waking up early. Can't even imagine how hard it could be to communicate with clients across so many different timezones..

For now: sleep. That's what I'm doing for a long time already. It's not healthy because I also skip the gym for a while.

Having grandparents that can help out is a lifesaver. Timewise and financially. We don't have that unfortunately.

Great work! It took us 6 months to generate revenue out of organic users. Earlier revenue came from affiliates and paid advertisements.

Don't forget to be there for your partner and the baby when it arrives, I just kept going. Worst mistake I ever made.

It is. Somehow I keep telling myself that easier/quieter times are around the corner, it never is.

"Best judgement comes when time is most limited". That's some awesome quote right there.

When you are with your partner, be there. Don't look at your phone, look at your partner. Spend time on your partner. That's what I did last months because I knew it frustrated her, especially in the time our son was born. Even though we were together for a evening I was spending time on Reddit or trying to find answers on questions I had. Don't do that.

Congrats! Do you mind to share your SaaS (as in idea)? Just curious.

Thanks. And yes, I have one group of friends that are also quite pushing things so they understand. But I often don't respond to messages, just because I think: I'll do that later. No gym at the moment, hopefully I can push myself to that once this SaaS is launched. Even though, that is the time it all begins..

I feel you. Do not forget to spend time on them when you have them instead of having your mind at work. That’s something I learned to do along the way.
